Omaede Dame Nara Moudameda
Well that was super cute! With a side of artistry and metaphor, didn't expect that. The way Iku and Mito are together was refreshingly nuanced.
Hana Ni Kuchizuke
This is hilariously unromanticized and I think I love it. Only 4* because it's not 'timeless classic' level.
Night Milk Heaven
Definitely liked this one better. Yamato being thr more nervous and hesitant one was unusual I think, and I liked the way it played out.
Netsuai Nante Ariemasen!
Accepting parent! (for Kirishima) It's nice to see this relationship evolve. I wanna see more domestic stuff without drama! (more like Koi ga Ochitara, I think) I like the trope of the (formerly) straight partner being comfortable hanging out at a gay bar. Toudou being embarrassingly sappy is cuuuuute. That gap moe. <3
Dekiai Nante Mitomemasen!
Uhhh this ended so abruptly? It's what I wanted from the story (more domestic life) and even has a new side couple I'd love to read about, but it feels incomplete... There's another sequel, but it hasn't been translated yet. Hokuto's immaturity is especially cute here.
Tonari no Usotsuki (Suzaka Shina)
Aww, this was really sweet! I really liked the story and the characters, everything felt a little more genuine and real than what I normally see in BL. Maybe it's because it was based on a novel first.
Koi Saku Potager
Very cute but feels like it doesn't quite go anywhere.
Konomi ja Naka to
I haven't finished this yet but it is undeniably S-teir they love each other SO MUCH, from how affectionate they are to how the sex is drawn... I've never seen a BL manga so utterly divorced from all those tired tropes and formulas. I love it so much. And now that I'm finished, the rating stands. So good!
