Omae ga Baka o Iidasu Hi ni wa
There's definitely something special about this author, though they still fall into the trope of the gay character in gay/"originally straight" couples being the bottom. But that aside, the comedy and more realistic/casual behavior and personalities of the cast is super refreshing.
Itsuka no Koi to Natsunohate
This was really sweet! Especially Shuu's realization that he unconsciously buried his 'not normal' feelings for Ichika when they were in high school. I think that's a really interesting layer to their past. It would've been nice to have a scene where he explained that to Ichika because I bet it would've been really heartwarming to recontextualize their past now that their feelings are mutually known.
Hatsukoi wa natsukanai
Four stars for being emotionally mature, but it ends so abruptly!! If there are extras, they haven't been added here. I really like the story though, it was nice to have the tipping point go differently than I expected. Namely, instead of backpedaling ad pretending they don't like each other, they do the opposite. And when Satoru starts to think Manato has feelings for him, he doesn't reject it either (aka, no gay panic!!)
Koitomo Triangle
Yay, another poly manga! I like it, even if it leaves things somewhat unresolved as to what their stable relationship dynamic is. But I get the feeling they're staying together, the three of them. The pole dancer chapter was whatever, just an extra smutty one shot.
My Invincible Vitality
Honestly? Five stars for doing literally everything to 11
The Man in the Mirror
Well that was a surprisingly cute twist! The mirror just leads to another country, not another world. I really like how the romance develops too! It's a natural extension of them getting to know each other. But it's so short!!
Garakuta no Ai wo Hitobannjuu
This. Is. The best! What an oddball romantic manga. Very realistic and grounded in certain ways. Kanii being a deadpan comedian behind his serious work persona is such a Japanese trope. It's like Gintama or something. The relationship was also really grounded without annoying cliches. The fact that they seriously roleplay in the last chapter feels so honest (and hot tbh). Straight to the favorites!
Colette Wa Shinu Koto Ni Shita
Interesting, but not evough to keep reading. Typical shoujo fluff.
Heart Racer
Probably dropping this. It was just barely interesting enough to keep reading before, but it's gonna go back and forth with the plot, I can tell. The relationship seems to have stabilized, but the mystery drama isn't going to be resolved any time soon, I don't think.
Please, Marry Me!!
