Lots of layers to this that im feeling conflicted about. First, as much as i love them this sequel didnt feel necessary BUT. i do hope it turns into this introspective arc where we get into daehyungs perspective in the relationship compared to yiyoung’s pov. Some swooning and drama from the ml is always very much welcomed! Second. Inhales. @ daehyung, i get where youre coming from but some things are just better left unsaid bc why the Fawk are you tryna manifest some shit in the future that hasnt even come and probably would never happen? Im sure yiyoung Knows what hes getting into when he entered the relationship. i feel sorry for yiyoung bc hearing that as a lover fucking sucks LMAO. “Will the two of us never see the same future?” Yiyoung im so sorry babe Completely understand daehyung’s background and his reasoning bc he went through that when he was young and he loves yiyoung so much to want to do the same if the day comes, but still, read the room man LOL thats the kind of stuff you say in the beginning of a relationship to cover all bases. Heck, maybe when a breakup happens. Not DURING the relationship itselfhdnd Third!!!! Now that ive seen the conflict (which is valid) i sure fucking hope daehyung gets a character development arc where hes more outward with how he feels. Being “too matured” can have its flaws too and his way of showcasing it with the “inevitable breakup” convo is prime example like why are u shooting yourself in the foot why are u planting seeds of doubt in your lover jdjjdj daehyung i beg u dawg go to a therapist and talk this shit out bc surely that long list of (failed, dumped, age gap) relationships left a mark on him lol It really feels like author is building up some sort of breakup arc soon and a potential timeskip where yiyoung Does meet new people and experiences and they reunite later. Idk but oh well if that really happens i hope to god daehyung grovels and be a pathetic pining yearninf lover boy for once bc well u preached about it so u gotta walk the talk now man LMAO we’ve seen enough character growth from yiyoung since the first installment until now (with how much he tries to rationalize his feelings and control his reactions) so i sure do hope we get some daehyung character growth here lmao

One of the few works ive read that instantly made me BEG and PRAY they get some sort of adaptation soon PLEASE. Characters are written so well, plot is fucking good, conflict is great, sexual tension is off the roof. Its a page turner for sure!!! Love the overarching theme of “morality has its different hues of black white and gray” and how both seheon and yunshin influence each others way of thinking and simultaneously the way they approach their work. The character development was so satisfying to see especially seheon’s, and i love how his character development isnt too jarring. Hes still snarky lmao reminds me of geonwoo/ahjusshi from dangerous konbini. His rising conflict after seeing yunshin following exactly the way doguk operates and how it made him feel terrible is the cherry on top!!!!!! Wallow in that discomfort and guilt seheon!! His constant anxiety(?) in thinking that yunshin is dating him so that he can resolve his sister’s problem is handled so well too!! Love how whenever he starts getting snarky about invoices and shit hes always met with yunshins sweet doe eyed face going :3? Like my boy is just too good for this world yunshin’s confession is so sweet too and i love how desperate and yearning seheon looks whenever yunshin waves him goodbye xD i love it!!! Please make him wallow in more yearning!! The conflict is so so good too… i love how the romance is in the bg of the story in certain chapters, it carries conflict and romance so well… and the chemistry with both characters are insane and the banters are hilarious LOL seheon really is a deadpan face asshole but all that bark is rlly bc he loves riling up yunshin lmaooo. AHHH my favourite sunshine mc x tsun grumpy ml trope and this story does it justice… i rly have to reread this again once it fully updates its just so damn good and with r18 tls too ahhh easily one of the best bls ive read this year. Give the author their flowers and get this story a fucking kdrama deal STAT

The shounen yaoi i fucking deserved after all these years THANK YOU GOD this MY magnum opus. The themes the characters the plot the trope the dynamics everything felt like it was crafted for me thank you so much author???? Grief and survivor’s guilt being this overarching theme with the question of “what is justice and is it a death worth fighting for” over the backdrop of a dungeon/hunter world building… im in love!!!!!!!!!! The angst really hits you where it hurt and to see such a lovable mc; yeonsoo, grumble about all the wills hes doing for his passed team mates but still doing it anyway bc thats the only way he can cope through every day life.. it sso fucking devastating. And you Know that his team mates knew he was suicidal over this and they tried to give him the most craziest to do lists still TTT what made me cry even more is the will that said “chew 20 times each time you eat” bc they want him to always eat his meals yeonsoo is really a character build on love bc when u rlly think about it, hes carrying the little traits and hobbies of all his friends, theyre always with him and its both a curse and a blessing its so so heavy hes really trying to do everything hes such a good and kind boy who deserves everything in life and most of all deserves a good fucking rest…. The couple dynamic is so addicting too, the banters and the “only this person knows etc” is so so good….. and the dynamic change of all the characters once they know hes chaeyoon… god i cant wait to know how the story of the great dungeon will be revealed to people bc its so horrific……… the ptsd episode yeonsoo is gonna have is brutal ahhhhhhhh please… please give him a gentle ending TTTT and please love him kindly jihan….. i cant stop cryinf dawhdbbdbdn the comments in batoto rlly makes the reading experience more enjoyable bc everyone is just devasted for yeonsoo its so unfair to see people shit talk “chayeon” and his decision on laying low when they dont even know how the great dungeon went down inside.. the consequence of noone telling the tale,, and instead of leaving the guy alone, ppl still seek for him to push him back into the dungeons its just so frustrating like seriously whats the point in justice!!!! Fawk!!!! TTTTTT The og tl title makes so much sense now too “mission: save the hunter” like my guy is thisclose to just ending it all and yknow what i get him!!!!!!!!!

Characters are well written to the high heavens my god i love how the story has eric’s perspective most of the time, hes such a genuine, kind guy that in the eyes of the court he seems peculiar instead. Thats such an interesting theme, how kindness in a world where shallow callousness prevails, seem odd and worrying. Eric’s character is just gentle kindness personified, hes so sweet with miesa and the gradual relationship development they both have feels so fulfilling. I love how sensitive and attentive the author is when they expanded miesa’s character and trauma, its not a one time thing brush under the rug kind of thing, like miesa is genuinely having a hard time reconnecting with her emotions that when eric shows her basic decency, she just shuts down and panics :( my heart breaks for her so much and just like eric, i feel so protective of her!!!!!!!!!!!! The court intrigue and drama is so well written it gave me solid anxiety and unease LMAO it really puts into perspective how things can be dangerous at any time especially given eric’s family’s position in the royal food chain. Like the stakes are there, the outliers sabotaging shit is actually stressful????? I want those two maids to dye like genuinely. Its one of those stories where i dont know what the end is gonna be like, i rlly just want the king to die, let the survived salakeze kid take the throne and let eric and miesa live this peaceful life together…. Another nice touch is how GOOD eric and miesa for each other. Eric whos been carrying the family burden in place of his father finally has someone he Wants to protect and care for. He gets to indulge miesa who expects absolutely nothing of him in return and miesa whos been treated so brutally, finally is received the kindness and gentleness thats been long due!!!!!!!!!! Theyre great for each other!!!!!!!! And eric being in constant communication with miesa is just the cherry on top really. Romantic chemistry is off the roof btw, the late night talks the author writes, the dialogue is so so well written and intimate. I love it so much????? Those moments make it so apparent to why theyre growing to love each other bc theyre just so gentle together!!!!! And the kisses!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Had me feeling breathless like WOW!!!!!! Thats how u write intimacy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its so good!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ch28 rn and im gonna wait for solid tls to drop bc the elegance in the dialogue and phrasing adds so much depth to the story too… atmosphere and pacing is amazing it made me hella immersed. art is bgorgeous. Couple chemistry is wonderful. Characters are well written and eric is just a dream come true weaved into a man. U walk in to the Best Rofan ML of The Year awards and u see him u just gotta call it wraps and pack it up bc no ones seeing him??? At all??? Shot up the tiers and claimed first place best ml like its nothing???? Look at him????? Love him with my whole heart….. Just 10/10 addicting page turner. Put her in the magnum opus shelf!!!

God its such a well written story with an amazing pacing to it. Like i have no qualms about it being a pure, self indulgent love story of a dragon waiting endlessly for his mate. Its so hopelessly romantic and to make something simple like this Good and enjoyable? Author won. Simple as that!!! Taehyuk and hyo un’s relationship developed so naturally and their dynamic is just so adorable. I love how level headed and charismatic taehyuk is versus hyo un’s pure uncontrolled teary eyed yearning …. They love eachother so much TT hyo un’s back story was so heart breaking, i loved the story telling and narrative voice in the backstory it just suits the folklore atmosphere so much it flowed so seamlessly to the next scene….. and GOD im such a sucker for human x immortal ESPECIALLY when the human has a set predetermined lifespan and is the immortal’s forever mate spanning thru reincarnations like AHHHHHHH my boy hyo un waited for 3 centuries……….. with everything he went through and seeing his lover dying (twice almost!) i personally would have killed myself LMAO.
