Everything is so jarring and the concept of fated pairs sounds more like a curse bc what if you dont like your partner? Your partner is abusive? Then what? The conflict is so so good and what makes it compelling is the way mc’s rationalizing the situation for both him and ml’s sake. It really makes u root for mc to not get endgame with the ml,, heck, make it a long series where mc explores his second gender with ml in the background giving much needed perspective and exposition! Give them their deserved slow burn romance!!!!! Its such an intriguing theme to explore with so much potential I love it so much im sad that its going to be short bc i see what the author is visioning!!! A great example of omegaverse “gender politics/commentary” work in the eyes of a beta mc is Exclusive No Love Zone!!!! bonus points for the older reserved uke x younger yearning desperate seme dynamic RAHHHHHH and mc going “im old :/“ okay close enough welcome back chu wanning! mc your milf energy is really off the charts…. I dont know what to do” and then the story just ends without acknowledging the solution for it is so????? Yeah sure they had sex but? Um???? Some more exposition and narration surrounding it would be nice TTTTTTTT especially when the ml felt like they were more like friends with benefits more than anything…. Like,,, we need some communication for that bc that is a big conflict to drop for an Extra lol like um? Wind that back put that conflict in earlier chps maybe bc why did i feel tense reading an EXTRA. Extras shouldnt have that kind of conflict TTTTT especially when its not resolved or addressed TTTTT and them having sex after proves the ml’s point????? Its so rushed???? God its such a well written story with an amazing pacing to it. Like i have no qualms about it being a pure, self indulgent love story of a dragon waiting endlessly for his mate. Its so hopelessly romantic and to make something simple like this Good and enjoyable? Author won. Simple as that!!! Taehyuk and hyo un’s relationship developed so naturally and their dynamic is just so adorable. I love how level headed and charismatic taehyuk is versus hyo un’s pure uncontrolled teary eyed yearning …. They love eachother so much TT hyo un’s back story was so heart breaking, i loved the story telling and narrative voice in the backstory it just suits the folklore atmosphere so much it flowed so seamlessly to the next scene….. and GOD im such a sucker for human x immortal ESPECIALLY when the human has a set predetermined lifespan and is the immortal’s forever mate spanning thru reincarnations like AHHHHHHH my boy hyo un waited for 3 centuries……….. with everything he went through and seeing his lover dying (twice almost!) i personally would have killed myself LMAO. ALRIGHTTTTTTT was so worried it’d go down the boruto route and have the mc and plot completely tarnished for the sake of a quick buck but omg so far its really good?? The plot is cooking really well and im intrigued. Im happy theyre expanding more on the outer gods plot. Surprisingly the manhwa is doing the story more justice from what ive seen. ppl are surprised at the changes from the novel and how the manhwa is doing it better and im all for it!!!! Especially for the scene where suho awakened the colleague skill with gray like hell yeah !! (Plus i love how refreshingly new suho’s approach and usage of the shadow skill; using the shadow as his gauntlets thats so fucking cool) Also Im so down for the plot to be suho and the other descendants of the monarchs work together to protect earth THATD BE SO GOOD and an interesting deviation from how jinwoo originally did things (completely solo) this time suho’s gonna be a mc who fights WITH others and i think thatd be so fun to see!!! And suho is so silly hes adorable a very lovable mc and his personality is so bright-earnest-shounen mc adjacent (especially his banters with beru aw) different than jinwoo’s lone wolf archetype and that makes the “combining monarch forces” plot so appealing!!!!! Cant wait to see suho’s reaction at jinwoo’s power at full blast lol like boy your dad’s powers are fucking OP lmao rlly wanna see if suho will ever know that his dad has technically went thru two lifetimes….. damn i rlly wonder how all of this will boil down to. RAHHH we are incredibly seated. Fucking love ogami’s character. Hes such an uncle. Love how the artist took care in writing ogami’s character to be this old assassin guy whos given a chance to experience school and education and didnt give him a cheap perv character trope especially given the premise. And the fact that hes been married and constantly banters with his ex wife is rlly the funny part about this LMAO his only flaw is fumbling a baddie by being a deadbeat dad. His relationship with noren is so good too bc he sees his daughter in her. It makes his reasoning to protect the kids so charming and heartwarming considering his background. And really the whole premise is him humbling chuuni ass kids who think they know how the world works, not knowing that theyre whining at a guy who has 40 yrs of experience in beating ass. Its so satisfying LMAO Just a solid 10/10 all around. Character design is so unserious and silly u just know the artist had fun doing it lol. The humour and translation is spectacular too. I rlly hope it gets an anime adaptation soon, its such an enjoyable read!!!!
