AHHHHHHHHHHH THIS WAS SUCH A SWEET READ TTTT LOVEEE the characters love the dynamic LOVEEEE me a middle aged gangster/yakuza seme whos deep down a gentle, caring dude and an earnest, pure hearted uke (with GLASSES!!!!!) i eat this shit UP!!!!!!!!!! my favourite fucking trope and dynamic it will always be numero uno in my heart mamiya and kousaka are so so thoughtful of each other and the way they both bonded over animals while their feelings grow for each other is so !!!! TTTTT its so wholesome TTT mamiya’s conflict about his past and identity and kousaka’s struggles in a relationship was written so well TT they both yearn to love and be loved so much AHHH they really deserve each other :(((((( the time skip bonus was a cherry on top too especially how they kept on reassuring each other of their futures :((( good for them truly, its so fucking cute

PLEASE this was so cute oh my god idk why i was so tense expecting some sort of conflict to drop but no its just pure fluff from start to finish such a lighthearted, easy read…. I hope theres more future volumes TTTTT wanna see more of these two,,, gamer boyfriends…. Theyre mawwied….

CATBOY AND BUNNYBOY YAOI MY BREAD AND BUTTER!!! Gorgeous, stunning art too my GAWD !!!! Alright Art aside . Overall its a meh kind of read, the trope is fun and adorable andddd spicy (mafia and nekomimi!) but the dynamic fell off hard . it was so damn bland lol, felt like author had the concept ready, deadline was due and just submitted the first draft of the story. Bc ao’s character did not mesh well with asuka’s at alllllll. He was so passive in every interaction? And even when he wanted to initiate, it all felt empty? Asuka was the one who showed so much enthusiasm in wanting to make the relationship work . So to see ao written so flatly is such a disservice to not only asuka but also the world building in general. The mafia conflict was ended in such a kindergarten way. Ao was damn near raped and we never had closure on that. Ao was so hell bent in wanting No Violence and his preconceived notions of carnivores (violent, rough, rowdy) especially towards asuka it all feels so damn off and the sex was in the extras???? and its fucking nekomimiverse dawg who cares about sexuality ️ idk man its just a tad bit boo boo in the execution. Bland as hell characters (ao u piss me awf) author….man . fighting i guess (which is ???? Too bc author’s past work ookami san which was also nekomimiverse was 100x times better than this!!! Feels so jarring lol)

Has the perfect nostalgia of old school yaoi with a modern twist to it; a very endearing and earnest amount of communication that left me pleasantly surprised! I love age gap relationships where the younger one is more emotionally apt than the older one LOL. Aoi setting things straight by explaining his background and why it’ll take him longer to understand certain things and asking takane go be patient with him…… oh tears….. and double it with takane apologising aoi for being the reason why he felt embarassed in the first place after that document/office ordeal…. Its so refreshing and touching i actually shed a few tears ;-; I just adore that scene so much, takane insisting aoi to not apologise bc it isnt his fault…. Its so rare to see such a genuine apology in bl ??????? Immediately left a mark on me bc despite the cliche fake dating for money premise, the sensitivity and writing of the characters made them feel so down to earth and real that i genuinely felt bad for aoi and touched that takane is taking steps in being more emotionally open and sensitive in his interactions with aoi… just… TTTT its so good…. author rlly took all the things that we love in old school bl and rehash it with modern standards making it soo fresh and entirely its own, the art style especially! I was rlly skeptic of it at first but god im so happy to be wrong! The commentary on class differences between aoi and takane was well done as well. Both of them having gone through their own difficulties and acknowledging both parties’ efforts in helping the other AHHHH i love it!!!!!!! I especially love aoi’s slow budding feelings + professionalism in his role. All the communication… its just such a joy to read omg…. Author i will lay my life out for u im so fucking serious. I rlly rlly hope we get an anime adaptation or jbl from this, the potential is there!! Its so refreshing!!!! Its so fun!!! While still maintaining the old school bl essence that we all love and adore!!!! Please future adaptations and physical eng copies soon !!!!!!!
