Definitely a page turner! I love how to the point the plot is, its nice and simple and the characters’ dynamic and chemistry was great too. I loveeeeeeeee mason/haley so much, love a calm and professional mc so much. I wasnt that invested in the romance but instead it was mason and haley that stole the show for me lol the thought of this mercenary guy having a talent for acting is so fun i remember scrolling thru and just wondering “when can i see mason/haley act again i wanna see him act more” like WHEW im a fan!!!! In terms of character depth and writing, i was definitely hoping to see more of haley’s upbringing and to see more stories on why he fell to where he was. Feel like hes such an unfortunate guy with no one he could find help to and its so sadhdbfbn but then it’ll be an in depth deep dive on how hollywood abuses their child actors and that will spin the story into another direction lol Its like at the end of the road plot wise but one thing i rlly wanted is to atleast have one chapter of haley’s background (and even noah maybe). Feel like that would add more depth to the story in general but its all good! Im in the middle with noah’s character, yes its traumatic what he went through but it felt ? Hm? Idk how to explain it, he feels a tad bit flat and the way he liked mc wasnt that ? Convincing for me? Like sure mason saved him but i would have loved if the story tackled on the conflict whether noah liked mason due to the suspension bridge affect or if he Really did fell for him at first sight. Its dhdjdh im nitpicking ik but i just wasnt too interested in him as the ml (which is rare for me) so shdn welp BEST CHARA DEFINITELY GOES TO VIC THO LMAO love me a silly lil side chara with his silly tshirts i love him !!!!!! The premise is fun, the story was engaging (although a bit face paced at times) the couple is cute (big bonus points to noah for bawling big fat tears whenever he talks to mason yeah love that love a softie teary eyed and borderline yan ml!!) also love the way mason’s character is written and the way he expresses his affection to noah, hes rlly my favourite character lol Overall nice quick head empty read!!!!

Sui is such a sweet and adorable mc, his eye smile and sweater paws are to die for TTT soooooo damn cute!!! But fuck the shit he went through with the bullying and jeering bc of his outed sexuality is heart breaking. The defense mechanism he developed by laughing it all off and the loneliness he experienced from how alienating it is to be emotionally outcasted like that,, god i wanna hug him…. It makes his and harutora’s relationship development so much more better when u see such a big contrast in how harutora treats him TT even after knowing he was gay its!!! Its so good TT the positive affirmation harutora gave to sui in chapter 4 is a fucking tear jerker “i know its selfish of me but im grateful that youre gay/ thank you for choosing me” and sui’s “im glad to be born as me” OHHHH its over the tears WHEW such a sweet scene and closure for sui and all the emotional turmoil he must have went through TT the flashbacks to the negativity he experienced vs the positive and even sweet and clumsy confession from harutora ,,, MY BABIES good for them theyre so good for each other TTT

Wrote so much rambling abt this but then shit happened and its gone so im gonna try to write it again with hopes i capture the gist of how i felt when i read this I cant believe that i put off from reading this for so long oh my god. All because i thought it was gonna be a silly little pwp trope bc cmon cum with pearls? But NAUR author set up the most heinous and exploitative situation jooha could be in and its heart breaking to read him go thru it all TTTT dooshik’s background and character was interesting too bc this guy has his flaws LMAO flirtatious, vulgar and arrogant as hell at times but GOD is he so lovable. Both jooha and dooshik are one of the most lovable characters ive ever read so far, aside from shin and wolfgang from kings maker. The depth these characters have is fucking stunning, dooshik’s dedication and stubbornness in making things Work for him and jooha is so so sweet and endearing bc this mf became a gangster for him. PLEASE its so TTTTTTTT usually in bl, one will be the love interest and the mc and the love interest would just get the childhood backstory and thats it but this??? BRO jooha and dooshik carried the shit out of this story, theyre both such good mcs in carrying the plot its SO SO SO GOOD. Author developed their characters and relationships perfectly. Their intimacy and banter and sex was such a joy to read, it felt authentic almost? Especially the casual way in how they disagree in things and the way they address each other in mundane convo. Its so fucking good yall lmao, writing such seamless dialogue like that is a feat in itself and the author ate it UPPP and usually i’d be happy enough with the great dialogue but NO the author mfkin COOKED SOME MOREEEE. Art is fucking GORGEOUS. I couldnt stop staring at how beautiful dooshik is drawn. THATS MY HIMBO BABY GIRL. He is SO FUCKING COOL, especially in later seasons where he became a gangster hes fucking ruthless its sos sexy??? RAHHHHHHH felt like reading a shounen manhwa in some scenes, he was that badass lmao. and hes the perfect lover for someone like jooha THEYRE JUST SO PERFECT FOR EACHOTHER all the fluffy scenes of them enjoying life is so so cute TT the singing in the car scene was especially dear to me its just so cute. Dooshik is such a big lover boy and the fact that he can finally be as doting as he wants with jooha is so so cute TTT NOW THE DAMN ANTAGONISTS. Oh author cooked in this one too lmao its been a good while since an antagonist pissed me off this badly LMAO pilwon deserves the shit daekwang and daehui went thru like the fact that he died off screen felt foul. Thats the only thing i have a problem with this story LMAO i want this mf to rot in jail yo. The amount of times i yelled at the screen for dooshik to record his convo with pilwon is shjdjdjdj LIKE SET HIM BACK UP??? i need to isekai in this story just so that jooha and dooshik can be happy and in love in peace TT sure the twins got shit handed back to them and it feels great but i’d rather author scrap it to include pilwon’s demise instead ykwim? And speaking of this, one thing im rlly happy that the author did was minimizing backstory of certain characters? Like pilwon in jooha’s life and eunwoo in dooshik’s life. Both experiences were just shitty and instead of prolonging it to some 3 chapter backstory author made it short and sweet and enough for the reader to gauge the entire situation in our head. Author is VERY good at giving bits of info instead of holding our hand thru it. I LOVE that approach lmao. Sometimes, shitty ppl dont need some in depth chara backstory, theyre just shitty people full stop. NOW THE STARS OF THIS STORY. Seunghyun and jaepil deserves so much more merch of their own LIKE GET DAEKWANG AND DAEHUI OUTTA THERE, SEUNGHYUN AND JAEPIL STOLE THE SHOW FOR ME I LOVE THEM SO MUCH????? They had so much potential to be a side couple especially with how much seunghyun is obviously pining for jaepil ITS CRAZYDBDNND we rlly couldve had some old man yaoi action….. give them a spinoff author.., please………. THEYRE TEW GOOD????? love how they were written so much in the conflict, it rly felt like a solid power struggle with pilwon for gangnam, shit was STRESSFUL. And with what jooha has gone thru, it rlly gives the readers this sinking feeling bc theres stakes and consequences to this. I love it when authors do that especially with a genre like this. This amps up even more with jooha struggling with his ptsd. I LOVE the scene where jooha went to get treated for it and is TRYING so hard to move on from it. It adds so much more depth and authenticity in joohas character, i love it so much TTT Now . The ending. Its so bittersweet like tears were definitely shedjdjjd. It feels like a small mercy and act of kindness from the universe to have jooha forget the most traumatic moments of his life. Hes finally able to relive back his youth in a more safe and loving environment with dooshik. And dooshik being hellbent in making jooha happy and rewriting all of his initial memories with pilwon. That shit fucking hurt bc good for jooha but GOD i want to give a hug to dooshik TTTT hes the one bearing the trauma for the both of them and with his character, as much as he misses the og jooha, he’d rather see this jooha who laughs more freely and happily with no worries. Hes okay with it and you KNOW he wont say a peep about their past to maintain the happiness jooha is having TTT its so heartbreakingly bittersweet..,,, especially knowing dooshiks character development,, (a bingqiu/yuan au of this would be so sickening mhm) AND AND the plunge into the ice cold water at the end where jooha finally remembers again his og memories is so . I WANNA CRY. “Its good to see you again” ITS KKEUT. SCENE!!!!! Its ambiguous but such a happy and bittersweet ambiguous ending in a way, bc jooha remembers again and theyre together and happy and moving on and thats all that matters rlly….. good for them TTT after all they went thru, a win is a win and i’ll take it LMAO it feels good too to end it that way bc jooha and dooshik deserve to have this moment of respite with eachother away from privy eyes (readers) and this subtle, open ending is perfect for them TTTT im really satisified with the ending and even extras,,, uwa TTT it was brief but im glad jooha experienced a new set of fond memories of his youth with dooshik in it. GOOD FOR THEM!!!!!! Rlly cant judge a story by its description and people commenting bc it all comes down to your own reading comprehension of it and to see people lack it and be loud abt it rlly ruins a story so im glad i went in this blind!!!! Author aced everything imo, from the plot, the characters and their dynamics, their developments, their conflict, the dialogues, the art AND panels,, all of it is fucking gorgeous. The conflict is stellar bc each of the characters motifs felt charged and had weight in it. Its SOLID and i fucking love it LMAO. jooha’s grit and dooshik’s determination to survive thru it all so that they can be free and happy is done so tastefully. The dark shit was great i love Everything abt it!!! Author went ham with it bro. With how everything unfolded like a movie, it makes sense that the author spent majority of the week planning the story board bc BRO, the foreshadowing and panelling is to DIE for. Its a cinematic masterpiece its fucking good??? Angles are dynamic and fun with equally engaging dialogue and monologues. Im singing praises bc author did their damn fucking thing???? Its amazing???? To see this level of detail in its art, plot and characters in just 90 chapters. no dilly dallying, none of that. Straightforward but not the point of spoon feeding your audience. Author is insane LMAO im definitely looking forward to more of their works, bc this being their first long series is just crazy. 10/10, straight into bl’s magnum opuses. Its fucking good LMAO. Deserves an anime. Deserves a kdrama even lol. Shit was like a MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!! Surprisingly really fucking good with the character depth and development especially yirim. Hes so? My manipulative low self esteem blorbo…,.. i love him so much…. The way hes ready to bolt the moment he knows hes not useful for cheongho is so damn heart breaking and cheongho’s character development from being distant and in denial to fully loving and adoring yirim is so sweet and satisfying RAHHHHH i love angsty dramatic miscommunication tropes, its like bread and butter to me lol ESPECIALLY when the uke has a tendency to slip away!!!!! looking at my list of beloved blorbos (kdj, sqq) its obvious why i love yirim so much lol low self esteem and manipulative mcs I LOVE YEW!!!!!! and mls who are chasing after them. YEARNING!!! This is CRACK to me Definitely gonna reread this, the story unfolded so smoothly i rlly binged this in one go lol. The art improved a lot too!! AND YIHO!! THE CUTEST BABY IN BL EVER???? I LOVE IT!!), satisfying character growth and depth, and the complexity of cheongho’s character was so well done too, love how it wasnt a simple solve it all situation when yirim started emitting pheromones. Cheongho still has troubles regarding it but hes trying and he finds the goodness in it bc now he can spot yirim easily among the crowds RAHHHHHHH its a solid couple yall, they feel GROUNDED!!!! Kedama no.1 best wife ever, love how chigusa never corrected his colleagues from wondering if he has a cat, a wife, a cat wife, and a girlfriend LOL its so cute. And kedama is SOOOOOO fucking gender, the gender is gendering so hard i love it. But real talk i did not expect to get my heart squeezed when i read this. I was tearing up in almost every chapter bc of how earnest and sweet kedama is, especially after knowing how badly he has been treated. Like look at him as a fluffball how could people be so mean to him my heart broke at him wanting to be useful for chigusa. “If master is happy, im happy!” KEDAMA MY SWEET BOY all he wanted was to be loved…. Im gonna cry And chigusa’s character is so well fleshed out too. His character development and conflict regarding his wife’s death and how it haunted him with guilt but finally being able to move on when he met kedama… hes so endeared by kedama its so so cute i love him so much, what a gentle good giant.. love love love his emotional breakdown when he realized the possibility of kedama disappearing and how it Crushed him when he saw how much kedama cherished the cheap bracelet.. ITS ALL IN THE LITTLE THINGS. The slice of life and sweet domestic bliss they had was so sayisfying and comforting to read. Everything just felt so tender and sweet and warm they truly love each other so much,,,, Author depicted kedama’s cat traits so adorably, especially when hes in his lil fluffball form trying his absolute best despite the odds, hes the bestest catboy wife ever…. His bright innocence and genuine care in taking care of chigusa had me tearing up bc my godddd, he just wants to be useful and to not be abandoned,, its so heartbreaking im so glad the author didnt put unnecessary drama, and even without it, the story’s conflict about “loving and to be loved” still hits just as hard especially with kedama’s abadonment issues and chigusa’s guilt/grief. The slice of life is tooth achingly sweet, theyre so so damn cute. I wouldnt mind the author spanning this out in multiple volumes. I love it so much i love the characters the couple dynamic the angst the story telling the gorgeous art and wonderful panels its all 10/10. Straight to point story with a charged theme of what it means to love and be loved. This is the second work ive read from koishikawa sensei and goddamn do they know how to write and express the desperation in wanting to be loved and needed. Its heart wrenching lol what a goat
