That little bit about mc realizing hes been living his live putting everything in boxes (heteronormativity, social norms) expecting to follow the pattern when all this time the answer has been there in ritsuki all along :’) u can be best friends AND lovers!!!!!!!! its so cute and a nice little conclusion for the little conflict aoi experienced. Kaguya the prince character is so real tho in wanting to be a prince for the girls and boys who want to be princesses AHHHHH i love her so much she rlly stole the show for me lol

A perfect, succinct and Classic childhood friends to lovers trope with the most adorable dynamic ever. Like seriously theres no notes, author nailed it. Its so lighthearted and sweet, and what makes it so engaging and memorable despite the cliche trope is the whole atmosphere it has, its a very summery, fresh and quiet coming of age story, the fishing harbor/sea setting amplifies it more and issa’s genuine empty head personality paired with nagisa’s clumsy and bold personality makes it even better… issa just got the tism thats my bby…… love how nagisa knows issa needs clear explanation regarding things and how despite his embarrassment, nagisa tries to deliver it as best as he can and issa soaks it in so wholeheartedly, its all just so fucking earnest and clumsy and cute omg the communication is top tier as well, i love how fresh and new the love feels too, its so endearingly clumsy at how theyre both figuring things out. I think what makes it so nice is there isnt rlly a big declaration of love? Like the love has always been there since the beginning, quietly growing and they both knew that, are aware of that, and is so comfortable with all the ambiguous touching, its very befitting with the childhood friends dynamic!!!!!!! And when the first kiss happened, it all clicked like a perfect puzzle and they both just Knew. Its so fucking good??? Idk the tender and relaxed atmosphere rlly carried the story for me its just so damn good omg…… Also that panel in ch4 of issa’s head in nagisa’s lap and theyre both curled into each other was so stunning, so much natural intimacy and chemistry!!!!!!!!! their source of comfort entwined with one another!!! Took my breath away seriously it captured their dynamic so well…. AND DONT FORGET THE LITTLE PENGUIN WADDLE THEY BOTH DID TOGETHER WITH NAGISAS FEET ON ISSAS omg… One of the best intimate and natural anatomy interactions ive seen for sure..… the pacing, anatomy, dynamic and dialogue, everything, author rlly nailed it!!!!!!! I love the chasing arc so fucking much in this omg, love how straight forward and to the point jun is especially when he sat yoonseul down to ask if he likes him to which yoonseul said he didnt and jun just replies “alright thanks for telling me” and leaves like wow?? i find that so refreshing it gagged me a bit ngl lol like he rlly just left from that encounter with so much grace and zero confusion of whats going on (or hope in what Could go on) between them two. just 100% eye opening clarity and i love that for him ( the angst of it all) LMAO The trope where the situationship slash cishet guy isnt ready to fully commit and realises that hes about to fumble the best thing in his life is such a solid conflict that i will love EVERYTIME!!!! I eat it up always LMAO heemins reality check talk to yoonseul is one of my favourites in here too like that shit was honest to god scripture lol “okay now imagine that guy loving someone else, you twiddled ur thumbs too long and missed ur chance, he doesnt like you anymore and you have no place in his heart anymore. They go their way and you never see them again” and it cuts to yoonseul looking so pathetically distraught its sad and hilarious all at the same time it was so good to see him wet puppy his way back into jun’s good graces LMAO ahhh i love it….. so cathartic lol especially that scene where he waited hours in front of the bakery, just being full of himself thinking its all going to plan LMAO i just love it!!!!!! Seriously no notes this is a perfect childhood friends to lovers trope the little cliche conflict, the constant communication, the earnest love, everything was done so well, author cooked lol. The artstyle and panels are so beautiful too. Seriously, its such a nice, feel good, lighthearted and well written childhood to lovers love story. Their couple dynamic is adorable too, love how maturely they progressed in each stage of their relationship. The confession and revelation all are done so nicely. No unnecessary drama whatsover!!! Their coming out to their moms and ao’s lil sister was done quite sensitively too? Ao’s convo with ryouta’s mom was rlly rlly good too, i love that when ao apologised how he couldnt give her a grandchild, her reply was just “well seems like u gotta visit us more often then” and i find that such a nice reply??? Something in my asian lil heart healed at how Easy ryouta’s mom’s solution to it. Its so nice…. Idk Its just always refreshing to see authors Explicitly and considerstely approach asian queer experiences and topics in their stories rather than reducing the characters feelings to “i only feel this way to u and no other guy” kind of thing. The added nuance makes it rlly enjoyable and memorable to me personally lol And dont get me started on the proposal!!! Its so fucking sweet, nothing grand, just an impromptu lil thing by the bridge/street but it still packs enough of a romantic punch bc of how sweet and earnest their dialogue and narration was. Love how they immediately stopped bu the civil hall LOL good for them!!!! very soulmate behaviour!! i love how the atmosphere the author kept throughout the story. Very muted, natural and mature in all their interactions and dialogue. Their silhouettes and intimacy flows so naturally with each other. ryouta’s such an adorable ml with an even attractive moe gap when it comes to ao. Hes so earnest and devoted, i love him so much his personality bounces off so well with ao’s more upbeat and steadfast personality :’) usually with extrovert mc x introvert ml theres always some kind of comical loudness to the story and beat, but this is just so nice and quiet and muted? It doesnt do Too much. It just feels rlly nostalgic and carries a sweet coming of age tinge to it in their romance that ive come to rlly love!!! Author excelled in the atmosphere a lot!!!! Seriously, i have nothing else to say but praises. Its vanilla and the perfect kind of vanilla that isnt too bland. A very sweet and addicting vanilla!!!! Saw a comment that described this story/couple perfectly “dont you love it when the childhood friends to lovers are so intertwined with e/o its giving Anyone you meet will have to know me in order to understand You” AND THEYRE RIGHT!!! its that feeling exactly with ao and ryouta!!!! And author captured that feeling so fucking well!!! i know for sure im gonna reread this LMAO. So happy theres gonna be a 3rd volume :3c im rlly enjoying the slice of lifeness!!! Hope it gets an anime or drama adaptation soon!!

Yeah gonna give my thoughts after all the sides come out bc it was a decent read with a gorgeous art style, its just the pacing for the climax was way too rushed and the facial expressions especially shin’s is way too apathetic, it made certain high emotional scenes feel really lackluster bc he seems so unaffected by it lol. BUT these aside, i do enjoy the pacing for the romance. I think seeing yeonwoo’s reservations in opening up to shin and shin trying to overcome yeonwoos walls were developed rly well. But yeah thats the only upside for it. Had lots of high expectations for this bc in the beginning i ADORE the slow burn, the muted atmosphere and the gorgeous panels/story boarding, the character close ups when they contemplate or interact with anything is so well done, especially the hands omg artist popped off so hard with the hands i love them so much……. it made me excited to see an abo that carried a chill/muted atmosphere, im just disappointed on how the plot developed and how up until the ending, it didnt feel like yeonwoo got justice at all. Shin’s character was really flat and the whole overarching situation of alphas getting away scot free (amplified with how shins friends said if ppl complain about shin whos an awakened alpha, then all alphas are gonna get shit as well and they want to maintain that = nothing was addressed about how shit that is) felt so anticlimatic bc how will yeonwoo get justice for this. It would have felt so liberating if yeonwoo was the one who put the nail in sungkyuns(?) coffin. Heck, i would have felt satisfied if shin atleast acknowledged to kangho that theyre all fucked bc of the same reasons and law loopholes they admire and uphold so much. Their excessive freedom is also their own undoing. And sure in a way i guess that was what happened but i want shin himself to say it!!!! The way his friends delivered it felt so scummy it left a weird taste in my mouth lmao. Bc now it feels like,, shin is like any other alpha who does whatever he wants (in good faith) without considering what yeonwoo wants. Idk it just felt iffy there, and their bonding could def expand more intimately to counter that iffiness but bc there wasnt a scene where they delve deep in each others insecurities/emotions (yeonwoos trauma and shins conflicting feelings at being an awakened alpha) it made everything feel rly flat bc greatness could have happened with this!!!!!!! Its such a shame…….. ☹️☹️ Idk i feel like for creating yeonwoos character whos faced such a traumatic thing, not acknowledge his assaulters demise (no scene of relief that theyre finally gone even) and the alpha system that fucked everyone over isnt addressed in its unfairness (by shin atleast bc hes an alpha!! Whos seen how it fucked over yeonwoo!!) makes me feel .. zero relief and happiness for yeowoo .. it just feels so lackluster like why do i feel wronged in yeonwoos stead LMAO. And PLEASE god i know shin is supposed to be this aloof and cool ml but good lord give the man some facial muscles to give the audience some flavour of an expression other than serving a rbf that frustrated me too at one point lol. Oh well, it started off really promising yet ended quite,,, hm…. Okay i guess ? it was alright…… i hope the sides cover some of the things i wailed about…. I want more emotional, intimate communication between shin and yeonwoo PLEASE i beg… dont fade it to black and give crumbs of that scene in the form of a flashback TTTTT just give me that and i’ll be happy i swear seriously
