i did not expect this story to actually go in depth with the environment and story of all its characters? Especially the vampire aspect of it?? Its so fucking good, literally all the relationships and dynamics are here, and theres lesbians too my goodness? I love love love how the author ventured around the sense of loss the vampires go through, like sugi and momiji? Their chapters were the most heart breaking tbh :( but like in a good way bc u can see them overcoming it and trying to move on TTT Also biggest fucking shout out to masaki and his wife’s relationship AUGHHHHH i know masaki is technically older but lawd be bagged himself a milf oh hes so!!! Good for him!!! What a happy married man!!! i love them so much!! Genuinely wouldnt mind if the whole series is just en and ichii going door to door solving vampire problems ala violet evergarden honestly? This would be a solid GREAT anime. i genuinely really love the way yuki’s character is written, i was prepared for the story to just have an easy fix it-fuck and boom theyre together but the fact that the author actually made yuki to be the one who Wants to put an end to his feelings and Actually doing something about it (moving out far etc) is so refreshing to see? Its MY flavour of angst especially when the ml has a moment for himself where he reflected his actions and emotions for yuki. Also love how yuki still feels guilty about their relationship and the author actually expanded on that instead of reducing it to just a “my sister’s flowers blossomed! This must be a sign of her blessing! Thank u sis!” situation LMAO i was holding my breath wondering if that would happen but thank GOD it didnt AAA i love comfort angst like this!! Especially when its well paced and had Reasonable conflict to begin with (the aching guilt!!!! the repression!!!! the self loathing!!!) I wouldnt mind if this was 20 chapters long of yuki trying to move on vs ml trying his Best to win and convince yuki back. Like the yearning would have hit even better that way lmao but this is great too!! The ml and ex wife was written so nicely and no one was an antagonist in this :00 Always been on the fence about mc x brother in law stories bc of how rushed and lacking the characters often are which is such a waste bc its the perfect landmine for angst lmao so to see this one achieving in portraying the angst of the dynamic, im very satisfied lmao 10/10 bittersweet hurt comfort story!
