Eyes speak more love than the mouth
SHOUNEN AI - LIGHT READ: 7/9/2020, REREAD: 0 time(s) SUMMARY: Having moved schools frequently throughout his childhood, Fujino has perfected the art of the false smile. Now his fifth school, his well-mannered smile is safely helping him make new friends, but one day, on the school roof, he finds a scarred boy sleeping there. While Fujino is observing him, the boy opens his eyes, and then... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- CHARACTERS: MC - Fujino Shuuhei ML - Tsukada Soutarou (Mad Dog) SC(s) - Sasaki (Mob A), Watanabe (Mob B), Rika, Soutarou's Grandma, delinquents from Omi High REVIEW: This is a very pure and light-hearted manga. I feel like many people can relate to Fujino in the sense that they have some sort of mask on when talking to others. Soutarou is also a nice character. He gets into many misunderstandings that Fujino doesn't see, rather hears of in the rumors about him. However, despite the differences between them (given the fact that Fujino is the type to "fake it till you make it" while Soutarou just speaks his mind), their relationship is still lovely. I enjoyed watching Fujino suddenly harbor feelings for Soutarou, it's much more relatable since almost everyone's had a sudden crush. It also makes sense, considering the fact that Soutarou is probably the only person he's let his mask down for. The side characters, minus the delinquents from Omi High, are hilarious. Especially Sasaki. He already accepts the fact that he's Mob A. Soutarou's Grandma is nice too. She gives off the serene vibe that you'd expect from elderly people, but don't get in real life.
Goshujinsama to wa Iwasemasen!
