Free! dj - Siree!

Complete | MIZU Asato | 2000 released

Really weird, kind of a fetish-humor dj. You'll probably love it if you have a body hair or shaving fetish. Or... a stretching skin fetish? And a wrinkly balloon fetish. This is for a very specific audience.

Call Of The Wind

Complete | ikushima miya | 2005 released

Strange oneshot. It was too short and random to really make me sad. I don't understand what it was about or why that guy was there. Is he just some dude who likes little boys? Or was he serious about being a slave trader?

The Memories Of Others

Complete | Kago Shintaro | 2000 released

Uh. Well, you can't say it's unoriginal. Lots of poop, though. That's never great. It's still amusing, though, so hey. I'd give it 2 1/2 stars.

Drunkard Condo Syndrome

Complete | Kago Shintaro | 2000 released

Whoever is making changes on the site right now needs to stop. It's getting worse and worse. It's like all bad stuff for no reason and zero improvements. Anyway, that's beside the point. This manga was weird as hell, but it was entertaining, so hey. Definitely some bizarro stuff going on here.

My God

Complete | Asada Nemui | 2000 released

Definitely strange so far, still feeling it out. I'm interested, though, so I hope it goes in a strong direction. The creepy cult is an unusual thing in yaoi manga, so I'm eager to see more of that.

Ikujinashi No Spectator

Complete | yamamoto ataru | 2015 released

That was... a very odd story. Kind of cute, but definitely weird. I liked the second one more because there was no rape in it. I like elements of the first one, but nonconsent isn't erased by future consent, and it bugs me. But whatever, the author clearly has a thing for very odd love triangles. The manga treats some stuff too lightly, but what else is new when it comes to BL? It doesn't surprise me, but I still don't like it. Anyway, it was entertaining, and I did like some of the cute twists on certain tropes. Everyone was an asshole in the first story, so at least they were more likable in the second.

Host is down

Complete | nishin masumi | 2016 released

Haha, I like those weird, dark turns. Definitely a strange oneshot, think it could have benefited from being longer, had some clarity issues here and there, but it wasn't hard to understand. I appreciate that it wasn't a typical story.

Ma No Kakera

Ongoing | ito junji | 2000 released

Very, VERY weird. There are definitely some interesting elements that come from understated horror, and some of the stories in the collection are stronger than others, so it's kind of hard to say where I stand with this one. I think the story with the little girl who can't make any decisions on her own is my favorite, just because it's so subtly creepy until the end. But I'm intrigued, nonetheless. The stories feel a bit rushed, but I wonder if that's a cultural thing, as that often seems to be the case in these snapshot types of horror.

Pendulum: Kemonobito Omegaverse

Complete | hasumi hana | 2016 released

I feel kind of embarrassed for liking this as much as I do. There are things about it that put me off a little, but I can't wait to read more. Hopefully it doesn't start throwing in some of the Omegaverse stuff that rubs me the wrong way. It's a cool concept, and I hate when it gets messed up with pro-rape BS and humiliation. EDIT: Wha? That's it? Wtf. It seemed to end too abruptly. Honestly, I was hoping for more darkness and drama between the main two. I'd actually prefer to see a Juda and Dato specific story. I liked their situation, chemistry, and arc way more than the other two. It was such a nice change from typical yaoi standards. Glad they at least got something in the epilogue, but it's all so rushed. What a shame. Hoping for a sequel.

Retard

Ongoing | park sung-hoon | 2000 released

This is... really weird, and really gross, and the title is offensive, but it's... oddly charming? In a way? I don't even know. It's pretty disgusting and definitely stupid, but I still read it all the way through, so what does that say about me?
