Anxiety of Soul
Mizu no Ue no Tsuki
So sad and screwed up! I can't tell if the implication is that Shirase drowned out of shock after the rape, or Shirase killed himself afterward. Either way, I feel so bad for Shirase. I wanted to cry when he was crying. Everything was going horribly in his life, then his best friend raped him, then he drowned. That's a pretty crappy way to go out. Ugh, too depressing. Now I need to read something fluffy.
My God
Definitely strange so far, still feeling it out. I'm interested, though, so I hope it goes in a strong direction. The creepy cult is an unusual thing in yaoi manga, so I'm eager to see more of that.
Hybrid Child
This manga broke my heart, and it can go straight to hell.
Blue Lust
Sort of strange and sad so far. I imagine the main two get together, but I kind of wish it wouldn't go that way. I'd love to see a story where a straight character is such dear, loving friends with another boy who struggles with accepting his sexuality. Anyway, I'm interested and hope the manga stays intriguing.
Atokata
It's a little too rushed and clunky to be as sad as it could be, but it was okay. I like the artist, and the ending was better as it was, letting the reader fill in the rest. Three stars is fitting, I think.
Tasogare wa dare
I liked it up to the rushed ending. I felt like it could have done well with a bittersweet ending, but it was ultimately like "oh hey, I guess everything is fine now!"
Rift (Conro)
I really like this so far, especially in the sense that they didn't immediately fall for one another and live happily ever after. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens, and I hope it continues to explore the fact that he always loved this boy like a brother, rather than erasing all of that to make them a couple as easily as possible. Poor babies, either way. Can't wait for more.
Misa-chan
Haha, started reading it because it had cutesy art but was listed as horror, so I was intrigued. Definitely takes a sudden turn. I wish it weren't so short and abrupt, but I definitely like how it flows so quickly from cute to horrific.
