My Last Love Scenario

Complete | Today | 2000 released

For some reason, I kept having this lingering sense of dread throughout. I don't know what it was, because this is clearly just a cutesy, romance comic. Maybe it was how many times the character thought, "I'm so happy." That seems to be a trigger for incoming heartbreak, haha. Anyway, it was cute, though there's no story as of chapter six. We'll see if anything ever comes up, but it seems like it's geared up to be a relationship, slice of life sort of yaoi. I prefer more plot, but this is cute and inoffensive, so hey.

Hush (Today)

Complete | Today | 2000 released

I didn't realize I was reading the sequel to this, but this one isn't even complete yet. Anyway, I've only read up to chapter 9 so far, but I know what happens because of the whole sequel thing. There are interesting things about the set up. There are some things I can enjoy a bit more knowing what happens later. Just a light, simple story, it seems.

Kokoro Kikai

Complete | Yumeka Sumomo | 2005 released

Too short, but a sweet little snapshot. Had it been a full manga, I think it might have been pretty great, even though it had that "it's okay if it's you" air about it, which is the trope I hate most next to "rape to love." I'd like to see more things focusing on depression and mental health, guys getting through it together as friends or more. But since it was so short and didn't dive into it much, I had to give it three stars.

Friend Line

Complete | Sakumoto ayu | 2019 released

Interesting start, though I'm hoping there's more involving what the uke has been through. I'm worried that it'll just be glossed over in the name of buttsex. Also don't like straight guy going gay for one dude, but whatever. It's so damn common. x_x Anyway, I'm hanging on to see what happens. This is chapter... two? I think?

Bokurani Matsuwaru Etc

Complete | kyuugou | 2008 released

A little rushed at times, but ultimately sweet. I feel like the second story would have benefited by being a full novel, where the friendship is explored and deepened. As is, it's like a snapshot of something he saw happen, the end. He hints at wanting change, but nothing changes. At any rate, not a bad read. I feel like I've read it before, but it must have been a while ago, since it was just vague recollections.
