When Shin Needs Cheese

Ongoing | haibara | 2000 released

I really like the concept, but I'm iffy on this one. I want it to focus more on the political climate and the bigotry toward spes. Honestly, I hate that uke devotion thing, like he just wants to help no matter what. I hope it get better, though. The nightmares are intriguing.

Kiraide Isasete

Ongoing | Hijiki , ひじき | 2018 released

I didn't like the pushy part near the end, but otherwise, this was the sweetest seme I've ever seen in an omegaverse where he actually was affected by the pheromones. I love the lengths he went to to avoid hurting the uke. This was a very sweet and sad story. There were some parts that were a bit rushed, but that's typical for manga. I wish we could have more of the two of them together, though. Well, four of them, I guess. Anyway, yay for another story that isn't rape to love! I hate that trope so much, and in omegaverse it's always treated as something excusable because he just couldn't control himself. Gag me.

A Silent Country

Complete | Avogado 6 | 2019 released

Awwww! What a sweet story. Always a surprise when it comes to this author, haha. The language used to describe the deaf people was slightly problematic here and there, though I don't know if that's a cultural difference or general ignorance from the mangaka. In the states, it's offensive in deaf culture to refer to deaf people as disabled, for example. But either way, this was a sweet, heartwarming story that made me cry. I loved the main characters so much. And on the topic of the main pair, I can see why some people might view it as shounen ai or romantic, etc. Personally, regardless of their genders, they just seemed like really close, sibling-type friends to me. But I loved their dynamic and how much they supported each other. A very sweet, sad, and heartwarming story. <3
