Too much going on. Characters who are meant to be the progonists "saviour" starts to get annoyingly clingy in my opinion. Sort of mimicing the antagonist and it just like UGH!! Stopped at ch.34. Hopefully, I'll get the chance to finish this someday

Wish i never read this bullshit story, the plot is frustrating and all the Main charancters are annoying. Starting with Kahliya, honestly i have nothing bad to say about the the character, because he's just a typical Yakuza villain w/ major issues and is probably the only one consistent in his behaviour. Now, Rex on the other hand, I just can't understand why he was characterised that way. I wish he hadn't slept with Noah until the epilogue, it would have given his character more substance. By sleeping with Noah, he literally just became same as all the other "boss" that Noah was involved with. The backstory isn't enough to support the reasons why he's obsessed with Noah. And I say obsessed because, the writer frequently showed him getting so worked up and crazy over Noah, leaving the hotel, getting withdrawl sympthoms BUT when his childhood friend/secretary who is over protective of him, gets caught and hurt... theres only a fraction of a worry, and no further concern is shown when Oliver has a cast. So many of his people die during the casino scene BUT again, the only person he cares about is Noah. It makes no sense, why he's so attached to him, just say you fell in obsession at first sight and be done with it! Finally, Noah, i didn't get how someone with so many exposed weakness can act so confident. Not surprised the sister was found and kidnapped, he literally put her in harms way. Not long after knowing they were being tailed, he proceeds to ask Rex to drive him to the orphange??? It wont take a genius to find out what or whos there *insert face palm*. Hate damsel in distress characters whether male or female, it just gets on my nerves. He clearly had a job with the Bar guy, why did he ever get involved with Kahliya??? He damn sure wasn't kinappped cause we were shown him being offered to join tlhe snake gang and he didnt have the tatt yet in the flashback. Inconclusion, i've read 5 ch yakuza stories with better character development and plotlines. This story stopped being about Rex avenging his brother/group, the moment Noah came on the scene. It was about a tug of war over Noah and Rex wanting to kill Kahliya, for having drugged him. Which, *sigh*, isn't even true because when he finally "got" Kahliya where he wanted him, he didnt even kill him. Which is laughable. There were so many instances where Kahliya could have been killed and all this could end. What's the point of sending him to jail?? He broke out before and he'll do it again. Would have preferred an ending where Noah and Kahliya die, leaving Rex to care for Murphy, and finally leaving revenge behind. Ps. We got no explaining as to why the Doctor let the bartender go up there, so many plot holes. Would not recommend, unless you like typical "love you for no good reason, i will save you and sacrifice myself(and my people) just to have a happy ending with you" sort of rencounter stories.
