I didn't cry but I was really sad and my heart hurt.. If I read this earlier, would've been more emotional, but realizing some things I know now, I find the relationships realistic... And that's why it scares me more. How can I hold on to a love until the end, with both of us wholeheartedly loving? Err.. Anyway, I wanted to know more about how Akari's life went on.. If I were to choose, I guess I like Risa for Takaki bec she's the only one he's been able to be honest with in the end, and she's beey mature. Besides, like he said, he was able to talk with her smoothly. I think their relationship would've really worked out if Takaki wasn't held back by his feelings for Akarri. It's not like he's still in love, but because the feelings he had when he was was pure and serious, he felt like he betrayed humself. But it's called growing up. They both knew they probably wouldn't work out in the future, but in Takako's pure mind, he believed he can do it so he wanted to wait and pursue her. So when Risa said they need not to promise about the future, I had hopes. I liked her decision bec it does not tie them both. If they made a promise, it will be like his feelings for Akari again. I understand this now. For the uncertain, it's better not to make promises. Otherwise, one might fulfill it just for the sake of not breaking the promise even if they don't feel it anymore. As for Kanae, I liked her too, she was innocent and her love was pure, but somehkw, I want her to be with someone else. It's cute for a school romance, but I think she needs a more mature guy to complement her innocence.

Really liked the main story.. Not a fan of the one shot stories though. 1st oneshot: Well, they could be using each other.. Like, the uke knew what he did when he somehow used the seme as replacement for his unrequited love, then the seme intentionally got the uke drunk to get some action again.. 2nd one shot: It's very realistic. Both Asaya and Yuu were worried about being rejected and all the complications when they were students so they didn't confess their feelings.. So when they met again a decade later, feelings re-emerge, but unfortunately, Asaya already had a family and Yuu was living with his girlfriend/fiancee.. Asaya tried to make "them" happen since he could no longer control himself, but thankfully, Yuu got back to reality soon enough and clarified that it's already too late for them since there are more people directly involved if they pursued their "mutual unrequited love" if that makes sense. Ugh. Well, sometimes, love really requires timing.. Too bad for them, but even though I like Shounen Ai/Yaoi so much, I still wouldn't tolerate it if they cheated. Well, I mean, basically, they already did cheat because they made out but I can only be thankful it didn't go further. For others, it may not have been a big deal with the other party being the same sex as their partner who "cheated," but for me, the gender or sexual orientation doesn't really matter. Cheating is still cheating. Forgiving cheating is almost impossible in my case, but of course, that would still depend on the character of my lover. If the good things about him outweigh that mistake and he can swear not to do it again (and if he does, it's over, no questions asked), then go.

Would've liked to know more about the concept of how he's there though.. It's a sad love story and while I'm solid against cheating, in this case, I can somehow tolerate it because it was clearly a political marriage and it wasn't clear if her husband truly loves her as well.. Anyways... Got brokenhearted when he said he got married and his wife's pregnant though I knew it had to be a lie to let go of their "what could've been"...

09/25/17: Started this way back but I only got to finish it now. And wow, I'm so glad I did, and I just want to believe in love again. <3 My Ze OTP is definitely Asari x Shoui... Why? Well.. - Younger Seme x Older Uke - Megane Seme - Devoted Seme - Tough/Cool Uke - No cheating/infidelity - Neither was a manwh*re - Their story arc is <3 - They're both hot and super in love. Need I say more? I also liked Genma x Himi story arc except for the rape parts. And of course, Kotoha x Konoe's story arc hit me right in the kokoro as well. <3
