start: 04/15/20 FIN: 04/19/20 ----- CH 291 @ ZINMANGA Translations aside, I guess this manhua really wanted to incorporate a lot of tropes (one night stand, campus couple, workplace romance, showbiz, etc) but ultimately with the gods & devils. It's not perfect, especially 'cos the translations hurt my brain a lot, but I somehow managed to weave the story in my head to make it seem as smooth as possible so yeah.. Just have to learn to adapt (especially with the names changing a lot, e.g. ML's name in the beginning was Feng Ye Ti but later on became Feng Lie, Athena > Ya Dian Na (I guess translator literally just translated in per character instead of as a whole, same with Aphrodite > A Fuo Lo Di Te (there even was a time that it was A Fuo Ming Di Te lol), etc. ps. I really appreciated how devoted ML was to FL, seeing him being straightforward and decisive that he only wants the FL despite a lot of female wannabes.. He never even gave them the chance. He's that decisive. Save for that time when he broke up with her to "protect" her and let her live a normal life (he's afraid that when he transforms again, he might not be able to control himself again and hurt her), where he let that other woman accompany him to the party (though he basically ignored her and told her straight that she didn't have a chance with him.). Thank goodness he never really gave her up though 'cos he was always protecting her in the shadows. And thank goodness for FL confronting this problem head on, and ready to do what it takes to be with him again. Well, in the beginning, ML was truly overbearing, but it's satisfying to see how he reacted to himself when he was trying to recover his lost human memories (like, he was literally ready to fight himself for his bad behavior towards FL lol).. Really appreciated FL's bravery and determination as well, so things ended really well. Yeyyy~

START/FIN: 04/20/20 (Actually read this long ago, but decided to re-read and finish it today..) There's a lot to improve story-wise as well as with the transition of chapters. There are moments when the scene literally jumps out of nowhere to another, and you just infer what happened in between. There are a lot of ridiculous and annoying parts, but even more with the loopholes left untouched. - What happened FL's family in the other country? The lil bro was never shown/mentioned again except in the first few chapters.. and it seemed as if the author/artist just decided to dismiss him altogether, as it seemed like the stepmom's son is only Lin, whom he wanted to succeed the company instead of Wei. I was thinking that author/artist initially wanted a younger bro (like grade schooler) for FL, then decided to add another younger bro (18 y/o) in the picture which makes them 3 siblings.. But in the end, forgot about the kid and focused only on Lin as FL's younger bro. I also remember a scene where FL's stepmom was complaining about why FL was still alive, blah blah, and the subordinate saying he'll deal with him now. I waited 'til the end for them to take action, but nah. Completely forgotten. - What actually happened with ML's bro and Yu Ni? Why so much hate? It wasn't clear how she caused him to die. And with that much hatred, going as far as hiring a pervert to rape Wei (thinking she was "Yu Ni"), how can ML deal with Yu Ni so underwhelmingly? Like, what, because FL already suffered the worse things, so it's enough to just ruin Yu Ni's company and expose their misdeeds? Her punishment seemed too light compared to what FL suffered. - With ML being heartbroken and devastated with FL's rejection, why couldn't he even remember how he raped her when the pervert he hired failed? I couldn't like him 'til the end, but I guess he's a bit better than the other ML with how he pursued FL afterwards. - Did ML's bro actually love FL while he disguised himself as another person who became FL's fiancee/lover? - If ML just confessed that Jing was his bro's daughter when they confronted each other earlier, he wouldn't have to die again. - Yi Yang's scenes and appearances were always random. Like, ughhhh. He's always used conveniently for the plot. Anyway, there's a lot more to say, but that's all for now. :p

I wanted to see their relationship years later... T_T And that face reveal, uhh, such a tease! I could just imagine looks for him, but his personality's just so adorable I'm willing to look past it. kkkk.. The age gap doesn't bother me as much simply because he lived pretty isolated before marrying her and his thoughts/behavior are basically younger than his supposed age. He's too innocent to be thought of really as an old man. kkk

Anyway, they're cute! I just really hope he doesn't get involved with his subjects again. And yeah, this is josei so we should be more mature and open-minded with these kinds of things. I'm just being mindful that there really would be no cheating. After all, he's too charming especially when he works (and says suggestive things to the models to get them react the way he wanted).. kkk

It's enough to know what he did; I don't want to see the actual interference of the classic shoujo ex-girlfriend. I'm already satisfied with how things ended at ch 26 and will just imagine as I like, for what comes next. lol. I mean, it's not like I can't help it if he did it at a young age or whatever, but personally, I just.. Err.. Well, thinking about it in a mature way, it should be fine if the person I marry is no longer a virgin. I mean, fine, I should be able to accept him even if he'd been with other people before he got with me, but the thing I won't be able to accept is, if he starts to think it's okay to simply do what he did to them to me. I don't want to be compared or judged that way. I want things to just flow naturally, when we're both ready. Because denying his past would also be denying the present him. He wouldn't be the person I met and knew if he didn't have those experiences, no matter how small the impact they made were. So yeah, kinda drifted from the topic, but I just understand how others would think the ML's disgusting for regularly having sex with his ex girlfriend before he got together with MC. It's the main reason why I preferred to avoid the playboy or casanova type of ML, even when I know that "he's gonna change and stick only to the MC once he realizes how much he loves her" yada yada yada. I know a lot of people would find that sweet because of the "Oh my, I can't believe he's choosing me over all these women, even though they're more beautiful, smarter, sexier, or kinder than me!" mentality. Oh well, can't help it though. Even with a serious and loving ML, it wouldn't be strange if he shared such an intimate act with the person he loved before being with the MC. The bottomline is, I think it's fine to have done whatever with other people before meeting your current partner. What's not fine is if you continue to do that despite already being together with your SO. I blabbed a bit. Ugh

Only realized that this has a manhua adaptation today (10/08/20)... I started reading the novel a few months back, but stopped around ch200 (out of 2000+ ch) .. haha! But so far, I liked the story and the ML coz he respects Tangning a lot... The story does get repetitive in ways that Tangning is always asked by netizens to get out of showbiz, only to adore her next, then scorn her again, then adore her again. lol. Anyway, I kind of put off reading the novel before coz I changed my phone and the app I used was no longer available (I preferred reading offline) so yeah, will probably continue reading it soon. Anyway, as for the manhua, hmm I kind of pictured them better in my imagination. I guess I expected more.. I mean, sure, Mo Ting is handsome here, but not as handsome as what I had in mind, I guess. Haha. Anywayyyyyyy... edit (10/26/20) -- Actually finished the novel!!! Yayyyyyy!!! It was really nice. Well, Mo Ting's truly ideal - you know, too good to be true but you'll still want a wife-doting man like him! Ahhhhhh I really loved it overall. There were a lot of face-slapping moments, but like I previously mentioned, those kind of gotten repetitive.. Like, people already realized how often she's slandered and she even face-slapped them a lot of times, but they still repeat the same cycle. lol. And what do you know. If I'd sum up a single adjective to describe Tangning, it is definitely CONTROVERSIAL. The world revolves around her, duh! Everything she does is a big deal to people. lol. Too many jealous people who don't learn from the others and continually challenge her. Anyway, it's not that I dislike them being overly sweet or inlove (though of course, they'd still fall under insta-love), but that made me appreciate their love more. Though they barely knew each other in the beginning, through mutual respect and understanding, they fell in love harder every time. I really appreciated how there weren't serious third party attempts as well. They're just too in love to entertain anyone else. Also loved how their 3 devils had their stories here, but I wish their stories were longer. I mean c'mon, the main story got almost 2000chapters, so why give each kid (well, they've actually become adults) about 50chapters more or less??
