A SERIOUS REVIEW(No real spoilers): After reading and catching up with ‘Walk on Water’, I can easily say that this manwha is a ROLLERCOASTER. To compare the storytelling within this manwha I can compare to ‘Killing Stalking’ but these are two very contrasting works. The manwha starts off with an average introduction, the characters are easy on the eyes but ultimately nothing much. But as the plot progresses with slight touches of beautifully drawn smut scenes, the manwha soon dives deep and turns into a somewhat devastating bl drama. Characters develop for better or for worse and the story becomes more plot heavy. Reading this in one go is sure to mess with your head a bit, the manwha is very mature. The writing as well is so well done. Although some chapters done by different translators or unofficial translations seem out-of-place, the overall writing and verbiage that the author uses through the thoughts of Edd/Yeowoon places depth and emotion within the work. It truly captivates the reader and makes you feel some of the pain and difficult situations the characters feel. As for the characters, I can compare them to another work you may be familiar with: ‘Parasite.’ ‘Parasite’ is a Korean movie that deals with class divides and explores character motives and harsh realities of society. This movie’s characters are more comparative to this BL work, as all characters in this book are difficult to classify them as likable or to be hated. The characters are complex and also makes the readers see just how dimensional these characters are, since we the reader are just as hideous and sinful with our desires. But the manwha really does bring up the question: “If we ourselves makes such foolish mistakes do we deserve a second chance? If so, do they as well?”
