The female lead is actually capable of protecting herself and can make her own decisions. The male lead complements her quite well too. It's also not an instant romance and actually takes the time to create a sincere love between the leads. The villains are also pretty complex.

I got too emotionally invested in this and suffered extreme trauma and heartbreak after Season 1 ended. I'm now afraid to read Season 2 'cause I sure don't want to go back to Isekai Hell once more.
