Look, I haven't seen art this beautiful since, idk, King's Maker? And even that might be a stretch, this is just… it's hard to believe in what my eyes are seeing. The plot is good, it's really good, short archs, all very well connected, not flawless, but perfect in its own way. I'm often reminded of Captive Prince, and even Vikings (the TV show), it's just overwhelmingly well done and it knows who's its reader, I mean, war shows like this are said to have men as its target audience but once you step into the fandom it's women, war stories, battle stories, that tells tales of the warriors, the soldiers, the mercenaries, the gladiators? Those are for the female gaze, I have the highest of the expectations for this

It feels very BL-ish but not in a forceful way. It's nice as the focus is still the plot

WHO THE FUCK WROTE THAT PROMO??? The promo is horrible and I almost turned back after reading it, but as I persevered through it, the story is GREAT super entertaining and is focused on plot instead of romance, like, FOR REAL (not like the necromancer one where it's like 60% romance plot, this is really plot with an MC who's fucking a dude and that's great, love it. Wish it was either fully shounen-ai or fully yaoi, this middle ground is such… ugh, anyways, not gonna complain, not yet.

The art is similar to ORV but better than what it is currently. The ladies are not annoying, they nice actually. And double male MCs! A win is a win, y'all. Ch. 23
