Chitose dies when she's 15 saving a pregnant woman. Niina remembers Chitose's life and when she meets the boyfriend from those memories she falls in love all over again even though she's only 10 and he is 25. They start dating when she's 16. What's interesting is that the farther you go in the manga the more Niina sees herself as a separate person from Chitose.

Talented young girl who apprentices to a famous photographer that can be be a bit of an asshole. He's really just terrible with feelings and explaining them.

I was super excited about this in the beginning and I love the art style but I had different expectations of how the story would go. Since she had intensely studied Ramses II I kind of expected her to have more influence on history and to introduce modern knowledge. To my disappointment there was very little of that and the main lead mostly just seems to get tossed around. She very much feels as a teenager and is kind but also naive and self-centered. I suppose the problem is that I expected something like Red River which this is very much not.
