On the one hand this story fluffier and less dramatic/angsty than expected. On the other hand, that is the reason why some plot points stay somewhat surface-level or seem like they aren't followed through/are inconsistent.
The best example for this is Sarang's Ex. He's introduced as some sadistic manipulator that has abused our MC sexually while they were serving in the military. This story, however, is NEVER brought up again - not even when the MC gets together with Sarang - so why include it in the story? Bringing up sexualised violence and bullying without really adressing their damage, is a pet peeve of mine.
