Wholesome shunen story! I gotta say, though, the storytelling style is a little outdated. There were some…excessive moments that were overdramatic. And cringe at times too, cuz ain’t no way ppl would pull the same sht irl lol Anywho good story about found family, coming of age, and self-acceptance. A typical shounen short story, if you will. The trauma elements were fun and nice, but boy did they get over the phobia in an instant LUL. Not saying it’s unrealistic cuz it’s def within the realm of possibilities, but man everything about the recovery was sunshine and roses. A little too optimistic for my tastes xd

Very sweet with a dash of past traumatic miseryporn lol (one of those typical estranged from parents and turned to thuglyfe kinda past) The side stories and the HEA were really cute tho

Enjoyable enough of a read, I say the MVP were the side characters tho lmao (especially Taiga, that’s one chill man) The dialogue is a tiny bit cringe xd It got a bit better during the second half? But maybe that was just hidden under the dramatic angst. The semi-stiff art and author’s lacking ability to draw in perspectives amplified the cringe too (gave off “amateur artist trying manga for the first time” kinda vibe) Story contained guilty-pleasure elements but couldn’t deliver them right cuz of the art and dialogues lol. Pity

Guilty pleasure angst with family drama is strong here :D With the author’s storytelling skills, I feel the angst/drama could’ve been drawn out for longer…oh well, it was a great read nonetheless Seme so cute! Uke’s so damn cool! They’re so fkn cute together!!!!!!!!! They’re so sweet to each other I’m AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA All characters had great depth. Very awesome read

Super interesting how Dojin (seme) is autistically coded :0 Author took a really careful approach in making sure he comes off as a true humane character, even amongst his faults and socially unacceptable actions. Loved it so much! Also super cool how Euntak came around to understanding Dojin like he should and would, given his personality type. Awesomeeeeeeeeeeeee Very realistic portrayals of relationship development, conflicts and resolutions. Albeit very few parts might’ve been a little idealized or cliche, it was overall amazingly done. I do say that with a cynical lens tho cuz I’ve seen too many unhappy families LOL. Their happy family dynamics are so wholesome The second pairing was the archetypal stray cat + golden retriever dynamic, one of my favs hehe. Cuties Author is a genius frfr. Reading their creator notes makes me fully appreciate their big brain for character, plot, and conflict development. I can tell they out a lot of research into Dojin’s personality and really appreciate that they decided to keep his personality disorder vague (out of respect for the disabled groups and to prevent readers from forming biases from their work. They acknowledged their own lack of training/info about mental disorders enough to make responsible decisions in their character designs…I respect them so much.) I can also tell the author decided to omit family issues cuz the societal conflict between the MCs were plenty enough angst LOL. The family characters were all so wholesome and sweet. If I was gay and reading Dojin’s mother’s and Euntak’s dad’s lines, I would’ve cried my heart out for hours. So accepting and loveable, so much love and care.

Absolutely gorgeous. The character development (especially in MC) is absolutely brilliant. Love the story, love all the characters, Zed is a green flag beyond green flags, his highness (blonde one) is so fkn cool, everyone’s so badass, aseeiaidjsojdksfnksnsks YES Also the art is so fkn good *dies* I do say the author loves her tropes quite a bit tho lmao. There’s always a man coming to the rescue when our female characters are in unescapable turmoil. Oh well, sweet regardless, it’s a fun read.

Shiettttt issssss HAWTTTTTTT Love the MC’s tough love on everyone and himself, very good- but steel-hearted man. Like a warm hearth! Author’s decision in giving MC 2 different eyes is actually so genius. In the climactic and emotional scenes, only zooming into each half of his face cleverly and clearly shows his two warring emotions: 1) soft, heartbroken, sadge, and wholesome side and 2) absolutely murderous angry, irritated, pragmatic, almost cold-hearted side.LOVE THE CHAR DESIGN IT’S SO SMART Also love how Jay’s identity was revealed in season 3. Really puts a wholesome perspective behind his actions. They all seem much more meaningful and genuine, and not cold and calculated and will-throw-you-out-immediately vibes like his gangster identity. The slow burn development of their relationship was so fkn smooth I didn’t even notice how wholesome it got. Author is a characterization genius Also yes smut hot yes

Very bittersweet…it’s the type of story that remains a beautiful tragedy from start to finish. Dealt a crappy hand at birth, forced to live through a shitty society (in this case, not a dystopia or warzone but a mafioso and on-the-run type of trope.) Man…the European vibes already got my heart strings in a vice grip, I’m in pain from this circumstance of “never given a peaceful option from start to finish”. Makes me think too much about the “what if’s” of a peaceful life, especially since their environment technically gives that option (cuz it’s not dystopia or warszone). It’s like waking up to a bright beautiful day and see all the primary kids outside joyfully running around, but are stuck hiding behind cramped temporary walls cuz the safe public is unsafe for you. I’m…yeah I’m in a mood. This bittersweet story’s hurting more than usual
