Nii-chan (harada)
By the end of story: Older one was driven to a corner and now settles with the one person in the world who accepts him (“I’ve got nowhere else to go so I’ll just stay here”); the younger one is starting to reach his limits cuz he’s forced to interact with environments that don’t accept him for who he is, and therefore starts adopting the bad coping mechanisms as the older one. Lol it sucks when you gotta surround yourself in any environment that doesn’t accept the majority of who you are, especially when that environment is your family XDDDD (it’s one you gotta keep returning to, it’s the one that’s supposed to have an automatic acceptance-pass as per societal standards, etc.) Anyways I loved it! Harada never tried to make it all cute and blushy and wholesome, she kept the distressed cornered-animal feeling throughout the story (cuz let’s face it, life in that society will suck forever without any changes). These characters truly have nowhere to go
Color Recipe
5++++! Author kept the vibes of psychological horror as they should have, and it was a super enjoyable thriller read. Also was funny seeing the calculative psycho get his shit fucked HAHHAA you miscalculated big timeeeee BITCH. But he’ll get his way sooner or later anyways, as long as he lowers his standards of having Shou being head-over-heels; at this point he’ll probably be satisfied as long as Shou stays by his side even if it’s out of pity…unless he gets greedy again :/ oh well, more drama to ensue. That relationship’s never gonna be happy cuz this seme is hopelessly unempathetic and selfish, and will seemingly be empathetic only when he can’t get it up XD Ngl if he starts getting into the idea of Shou being hyper-miserable in the future, he’ll probably repeat his confinement behaviour in a heartbeat. Anyways Shou is probably lifelong bound to this psycho no matter what cuz he’ll be tied via guilt or affection, no in-between xD Author didn’t use the family issue route to justify anything, just told the characters in present time as they were! That’s an unusual route for a long psychological manga like this, I think.
Kuroe And The Garden Of Feminine Pleasures
4~5* Very fun and interesting read! Plot progression felt eh tho, it just didn’t feel as fleshed put Fun possessive trope Fun angst aye The seme (before he learned empathy) was a crazy fk LOL a lot of the sht he said had misogynistic undertones…not sure if author hates women or just has a humiliation kink
The Prefect’s Private Garden
4.5 - 5* Enjoyable but the way the thriller is paced is a little subpar…maybe it’s the lack of black paneling to really give the “oh no” feel? Maybe it’s the expressions that aren’t drawn as dramatic as they could be? Maybe it’s the cliche tropes too lol I do like the angst but…it just isn’t as exciting as it could be :( Nice hurt & comfort overall tho The initial possessive thriller was nice too
Yoru To Asa No Uta
Well written, good plot and character development Felt a little foreign lol Asahi was a brat ‘till the end tho, he matured a bit but was overall…annoying? Xd And lowkey pity Yoru for being so oblivious about how Asahi treats him, but eh. Whatever works for them I guess. Yoru’s obsession with Asahi screamed isolation tho (not by grooming, he did it to himself) so I’m having mixed feelings about this
Fruit of the Tongue
Too much smut for there to be any kind of emotional anchor in the plot lol Had ok points of angst but could’ve been exacerbated with more struggles (uke just up and accepted all this LOL) and more dramatic expressions
Itsuwari Triangle
Pretty aight, had some corny unrealistic DID moments lol but it’s a nice guilty pleasure (esp last chapter)
