The Neighbor I Desire
Lost in the Cloud
THE FAMILY-FOCUSED ANGST THE FRIENDSHIP ANGST IT’S SO PERFECT
Oretachi wa Shinkon-san Kamo Shirenai
IT’S SO HILARIOUS AND THE SMUT’S PERPECT HEHEHEH THEY’RE HILARIOUS AHSIDNKSHDKSS THE WAY THE UKE CARRIES ON WITH LIFE HAHAHAHAHAHA he legit disregards what’s possibly a severely traumatic just cuz he’s busy running with his train of thoughts LMAOOOOO (ngl the “hm, interesting experience” is a mood) The seme’s commentary in conjunction with the uke’s is also priceless I love the running gag of them pointing fingers at each other like “ah-ha! Practical solution!” after finding a ridiculous method and reasoning to solve their problems I love them aishskjsskakaljsjs
Shinkonsan!
1st story: 4* THEY’RE SO FKN IMMATURE LOL it’s hella ridiculous for ppl their age and if it wasn’t for the author’s saving grace of high-quality humour I would’ve given this toxic over-tsundere couple a 2* They got their cute sides and they understand each other deeply, but man…their default banter seems a tinge bit too seriously toxic xdddddd 2nd story: 4.5* Established relationship was significantly less toxic than the first couple lol They went through a lotta ups and downs but they love and care for each other in the end yay Lowkey felt like uke regressed to a child-like state (which was reasonable within circumstances but not my cup of tea haha)
The Princess Imprints a Traitor
They’re so cute and badass Protag is so badasss and I like her personality, it’s not bubbly but genuinely calm, logical and collected (+some cute bashful sides hahaha). She’s charming everyone she meets LOL Gotta say, I feel bad for AU mikhaelis for having to continue living miserably but well, at least current timeline Mikhalis is happy :’)
Green Apple Paradise
Objectively a 4-5* story, the characters are really fleshed out and the story’s well made 1st couple: 1* They’re so fucking roundabout with their communication…dudes, JUST TALK, HOLY SHIT. OR ASK?? ESOECIALLY SITONG, YOU FUCKING PUSSY, STOP WHINING LIKE A LITTLE BOTCH AND DO SOMETHING. LIKE UHHH IDK, TALK??? So many issues could’ve been avoided if they just fucking talked. Seme would have a harder time to initiate convo cuz of uke’s standoffish and skittish nature, but from uke’s POV it should be clear that seme is open to anything and everythin…which means that initiating convo is much easier for Sitong. Spoiled bitch won’t even realize he’s the speed bump of the relationship and won’t take any fkn initiative —-continuation from first paragraph—- It’s just,..the constant tip-toeing and dishonesty/silence-of-truths pissed me off. I get it’s their character and it’s sorta realistic, but their constant fears just made me anxious throughout the story. Literally grow some balls and be honest, is that so hard?? Even during their affectionate moments I didn’t feel “aww” enough to smile, just a like a bland “aw” and that was it. First couple’s uke started to try meeting the seme halfway like, 50 chapters into the story. Before that, all he did was retreat, retreat and retreat. So fucking annoying to read. He literally put no effort. This dude wasn’t just emotionless (I can be ok with that, like with Xin Yang) but lowkey an asshole with how crass he was with his actions amd words. Why tf was this asshole depicted as a popular character? Not to mention he’s boring as shit? Idk he feels more like a Debbie downer and his character’s glorification pissed me off, that’s probs why I didn’t enjoy this manga Seems like the ppl in the comments love him tho cuz he’s able to hide his feelings well. In reality, if you do that you’re just letting your crush never notice and be taken by another relationship. It’s cool to be able to hold back, but Sitong’s level is just asking for zero opportunities. Literally seeing the opportunity and throwing it away, what a dumbass move. It’s reasonable to be afraid, but it doesn’t make it any less stupid as fuck. If Zichen’s taken (like how it’ll realistically go) the Sitong will just fucking cry in a corner about his loneliness when in reality Sitong was the dumbass that didn’t do shit to resolve his issues. The lack of proactivity pisses me off to no end. And his tendency to retreat comes off as disliking the ppl he disregards tbh. It’s rude. So many fucking mental hoops with this standoffish bastard…you’re an adult, not a stray cat. You got a human brain, use it. Shot’s worse in context of a relationship, too. Bottle everything up and never communicate your worries? Yeah, that’ll go well. 2nd couple: 4-5* I liked the second couple more cuz they actually fucking communicate. Also they understand each other a lot, and their perceptive traits are actually put to use (unlike the first couple Jesus it’s like they experience periodic debuffs). The focus on their duo relationship and not their relationship with side characters probably put a spotlight that I enjoyed. Also relatable angst yep, tney’re my comfort characters at this point. Also the author seems to like them and/or relate to them more? This couple has a lot more poetic dialogue and narration lol
Nii-chan (harada)
By the end of story: Older one was driven to a corner and now settles with the one person in the world who accepts him (“I’ve got nowhere else to go so I’ll just stay here”); the younger one is starting to reach his limits cuz he’s forced to interact with environments that don’t accept him for who he is, and therefore starts adopting the bad coping mechanisms as the older one. Lol it sucks when you gotta surround yourself in any environment that doesn’t accept the majority of who you are, especially when that environment is your family XDDDD (it’s one you gotta keep returning to, it’s the one that’s supposed to have an automatic acceptance-pass as per societal standards, etc.) Anyways I loved it! Harada never tried to make it all cute and blushy and wholesome, she kept the distressed cornered-animal feeling throughout the story (cuz let’s face it, life in that society will suck forever without any changes). These characters truly have nowhere to go
Kuroe And The Garden Of Feminine Pleasures
4~5* Very fun and interesting read! Plot progression felt eh tho, it just didn’t feel as fleshed put Fun possessive trope Fun angst aye The seme (before he learned empathy) was a crazy fk LOL a lot of the sht he said had misogynistic undertones…not sure if author hates women or just has a humiliation kink
The Prefect’s Private Garden
4.5 - 5* Enjoyable but the way the thriller is paced is a little subpar…maybe it’s the lack of black paneling to really give the “oh no” feel? Maybe it’s the expressions that aren’t drawn as dramatic as they could be? Maybe it’s the cliche tropes too lol I do like the angst but…it just isn’t as exciting as it could be :( Nice hurt & comfort overall tho The initial possessive thriller was nice too
