In that novel she was ignored and hated by her father while the other girl had his favour. In the end she was sentenced to death by him because she was framed to have poinsoned the other girl. This time round she starts her plan for survival early on. From coverting favours with the maids to taking little trinkets and hiding them in case she need to run away. By accident one day she ran to the emperor's palace and got caught by him at the age of 5, 4 years ahead of the original plan. From that day on she frequently meets the emperor and so she decides to act cute to gain his favour in hopes that he will not kill her one day. All goes well and he starts to slowly warm up to the daughter he once tried to forget about. She also managed to get entangled with a sorcerer who has been around since a long time ago, he hangs around with the excuse of being her playmate by changing his appearance to be smaller. Also because of him she also meets the novel's og ml who was supposed to be the fl's but she caught his heart as well. She had her debutant ball with her entering with her father instead of being ignored by all of society. At that same ball where the og fl was supposed make her appearance and be introduced as the supposed hidden daughter, she made friends with her instead and they became closer and time passed on. There was an incident where her magic went awol and her father rushed to save her. The incident was caused by a ribbon given to her by the og fl and was cursed by the emperor's older brother who was supposed to be dead. When she woke up her father did remember her and has also lost all the memories for the past 10 years. He has returned to treating her with coldness and animosity. He also condemed her in front of an audience but she ran away using magic. Like int he og novel the events unraveled. The og fl was brought in and she existence made his headaches go away while her's made it worse. In the og novel this made Claud(emperor) hate Athy(fl) unconciously and care for the fl, but this time round his subconciousness made him open back up again to her after some struggles. His condition was worsened after the mana incident but it got worse suddenly and he threw up blood. He got bed ridden and the fl had to take care of political and black magic struggles in his absense. The past emperor (the father's brother) showed up and claimed that he was sick bc he used black magic. Meanwhile he was the one who used black magic and was possessed by the spirit of a past emperor who held contempt towards the sorcerer for rejecting him and by this grudge he was able to somehow hangaround after death for so long. He was also the og fl's real father. The emperor was cursed bc of black magic, it was revealed that he was in love with her mom so much that he could not take it after her passing and therefore decided to dabble in black magic to forget about the pain. The fl and the sorcerer looks for ways to cure him and uses the branch of the world tree, which gived the fl the knowledge of how, though it endangered her life, and allowed her to meet her mom. All's well that ends well. They got rid of the spirit and the past emperor is not such a bad guy and he made up with his own daughter. It turned into a story of two single fathers enamoured with their adorable daughters. Sorcerer admitted his feelings to her and asked her out for dinners and stuff. The white haired og ml is also there. But they're obviously stopped by a barrier known as the fl's father FL's coronation Happy ever after :)))
