King The Land
Spoon has done it again. The visuals of this webtoon is unbelievable. The vibrancy of the panels are nothing short of enchanting. However, the plot does a huge time skip during the last two chapters so I have to give it four stars
Emperor And The Female Knight
The perfect example of a story that has a strong female protagonist. Knowing that it was based on a famous novel, I already knew that the plot was going to be top-notch. It was refreshing to see a manhwa that puts forward a female lead that was not valued for her looks whatsoever. Instead, she's respected because of the capabilities and skills she has built with years of perseverance within the military. I initially didn't want to finish the series since a lot of misogynism that she faces just hit way to close to home. I felt incredibly discouraged and uncomfortable while reading the series and finished it way slower than others. I didn't realize the reason as to why I'm acting this way in the beginning. After figuring out the reason though, I returned to reading it with brand new vigor and perspective. Let's just say that I don't regret pushing through it. I actually enjoyed this a lot. The artists who were given this project also did the novel justice. I especially loved how Lucius became the main visual of the couple. He was the charming and pretty one and I absolutely love that for him. He knew how attractive he looked too (๑¯◡¯๑)
