Beware of the Villainess!
I'm so disappointed that I read this during the time where I didn't exactly had it in myself to write reviews since this was so good. Out of all the villainess manhwas that I've read, she has got to be my favorite. the art is also absolutely stunning. it was such funny read too. i found myself struggling to hold my laugh in more than just a few occasions. it absolutely deserves a five star.
I Choose the Emperor Ending
I don't know if it's the universe continually giving me signs, but I accidentally stumbled upon another strong female lead and a story with interesting critiques when it came to societal expectations of women. Again, binged it all in one day. The art is something that I'm thankful for. I've been desperately searching for another binge that has a good art style and plot. The last few webtoons I've read only had either one of the two. I'm pleased to finally find one that has both. The plot was interesting. I am just confused when it comes to the ending. I think it would have been more impactful if the main character chose a more logical path. I like the commentary about how the protagonist's internalized biases against women became her own cross to carry in the later part of the story. However, it did come randomly, at least for me. I never thought that it'll be a part of the story line in any shape or form. Still, I can't help but feel happy for that kind of development. It's a fun story all in all ( ꈍᴗꈍ)
My Family is Obsessed with Me
Oh, they have budget alright. The details when it comes to the panels is just insane. The faint blur from the main focal point to the background is chef's kiss. The details in shadowing and highlights, as well as the designs on their clothes and accessories, is so mesmerizing to look at. It's been a while since I've encountered a webtoon in this caliber.
