Good plot but not something I would re-read. Shinomoto harbors feelings for his childhood friend Sumiyoshi. Sumiyoshi is a playboy which makes the situation complicated. Eventually Shinomoto confesses and the two get together. Despite Sumiyoshi's frivolous personality, he puts Shinomoto above everything else. Cute couple.
