A Way To Protect The Lovable You
Cursed by her own mother, a cruel saintess, she was tasked to kill her husband to cancel the curse. However, true love between her and her husband resulted to her submission to the curse. Despite her effort to succumb, her husband dies in war. As if answering her prayers to protect her husband and his people, time reversed just before their wedding.
The Emperor Reverses Time
Having been a part of an arranged marriage, crowned too early, and called an "incompetent" emperor—having a too perfect wife irked him. He neglected his wife, so much that he was indifferent of the poison that killed her right in front of him. However, her diary, which contained the abuse erasing the Empress' individuality and turning her into a doll, made him swallow his pride and fall into an abyss of regret. Determined to pay the debt he owed towards his pitiful empress, he waged his soul to turn back time and make sure to make her happy.
The Duchess with an Empty Soul
paused at 83 since translations are... unbearable. STORY WISE: the more complicated it becomes, the less urgency and clarity there are. Unlike Yvona's initially clear and linear attempts to make sure Gaspar and Tristan do not get what they want while preparing for war, she becomes complacent. it begins to focus more on "how men see women and what women can't do" —while also giving us a vague update on how their relationship is progressing. @107... She just let the damn bastard walk away, tf? I saw alot of official translations and had my hope in this, but the more i read the more foolish i feel still reading it when i already reviewed it as lacking urgency when I left it. And more so now that theu do the worst strategies just to increase unnecessary tension and mystery. Ugh dropped
A Returner's Magic Should Be Special
My brain doesnt comprehend the nitty gritty details, but I do understand the gist as the chapters go. No annoying protagonists. The first shadow world is a headache so I skipped one chapter of nonsense. Sometimes it's exctingly unexpected, there are a few "wtf are you lagging behind for" moments like the limits or actual scope of the ML's power and decision-making. (Often all-knowing, sometimes too dense or questionable) ch94—again with the contradicting arrogance despite his charade of saying "it's not over until it's over". he's becoming an MC who is ALL TALK
Worn and Torn Newbie
all i can say is... the main character is a nudist in game that has the tendency to even ride his car nude. Doo Hae who always on his tail is powerful in-game, but quite annoying. Drake, a ranker he became friends with is interesting but is more of a side kick with tremendous capabilities. there are times that the author exaggerates and forget some details because they're trying too hard to make an "exceptional" scenario. Most of the time, the gameplay or strategy is well explained on how Eunjin wins so it's not that boring to watch him win. It repeats to remind ppl that it is his memory and experience that makes him OP, so he doesnt come off too far gone from his own reality.
Kill the Hero
Very exciting and balanced scenarios of predictibility and cunning schemes. He has a funny side kick—who is more often than not working his ass off as a tanker. No romance or women who are interested in him, plus the goal isn't some sort or "along the way" plot. everything is directly influencing/affecting his object of revenge. no fillers or etc. and also, wtf, Kim Woojin in the novel before waki g up as a player has a more interesting past! which makes rereading refreshing tbh haha >> https://woopread.com/series/kill-the-hero/
Rebirth
I cried. the character development isnt forced nor irrational. it's not a quick change nor is it too forgiving to just say "he didnt do it in this lifetime". besides, the way it highlights even the shortcomings of the victim is forward. it doesn't create a black and white situation.
