For a shoujo, this story FAILS HARD—and it sucks because it's the forced slow burn is basically becoming the FL's fault. im telling u, the author had so many chances for them to just hit it off but then make these uselessly repetitive drawbacks that were supposedly already brought up. the author drags the romance so badly that it makes Lily like a dense hypocrite who should reflect on how she treats Leonard, or her feelings, before she even dare to comment on someone else's relationships or call someone else dense and advise them to communicate. if it weren't for their filial relationship, i'd given this up before i even read up to 30 chapters. also, ROMANCE is sooooo different from the love for family and friends. it shouldve been at least 70% understood when the concept of "sex" and "marriage" was brought up during the princess and prince childbirth problem.

some food hunting is unsettling esp when dealing with anthromorphs and how eerie the MC is in the game for ingredients. I also understand than contrary to Bulimia Nervosa, this is more of Binge-eating/Gluttony with physical side effects type of illness. In Fantasy terms, a curse. So it leans on fantasy more than medicine/science.
Legs That Won't Walk
it did say "Legs that wont walk", i shouldve expected Sooyoung to be unable to run away from shit. i was really hoping for Taesung, like a "gentle" beast who would fuck up the world and maybe be ultra possessive of Sooyoung, but would at least not be the cause of Sooyoung's endangerment. he literally pulls a trigger for stockholm syndrome to trap Sooyoung. oh, and it doesnt make sense how shitty of a boxer Sooyoung is tbh. like he looks super strong apparently, but his fists suddenly doesnt help him when it doesnt suit the plot.
A Returner's Magic Should Be Special
My brain doesnt comprehend the nitty gritty details, but I do understand the gist as the chapters go. No annoying protagonists. The first shadow world is a headache so I skipped one chapter of nonsense. Sometimes it's exctingly unexpected, there are a few "wtf are you lagging behind for" moments like the limits or actual scope of the ML's power and decision-making. (Often all-knowing, sometimes too dense or questionable) ch94—again with the contradicting arrogance despite his charade of saying "it's not over until it's over". he's becoming an MC who is ALL TALK

the stars are for the empress, the lack of it is because of how annoying the emperor is as well as the slow and almost dilly dallying progress. it's 73 chaps yet almost nothing significant happens besides befriending the fave concubine, escaping death for the nth time w/o progress from the investigation, garnering the emperor's interest (emphasis on cringy blushing and delulus despite having done nothing so helpful for her) and still leaving a lot of gaps as to why she's being targeted or hated by emperor (with this pace, it's going to take 200 chaps to know at least 80% of what's going on)

ch10. it's unfair and extremely dangerous to just label the MC as a "pedo" when all he said was that kids gave him hope. pedophilia is LITERALLY a sexual fetish towards minors. ch23, while i understand Lysia's POV... this time, i don't understand Ars. im afraid that the author made it convenient that he likes her too... even after building up this character that sees children, as children. i feel bad coz Ars will end up... being a pedo. it wouldve been smarter for him to remain neutral and focused on war. it's more logical that he drowns in his appraisal. sadly, i'll drop it coz it's pretty much derailed and i'll continue to be irked. it had a nice premise tho

Dropped at 103-- spoilers It just keeps going and going and going with the "detective cases" and maybe its the changing translations but nothing is making much sense the more we go (contrary to the first cases). Also, if she's going to have a skill that changes face, i wish it was more obvious and defined coz huh? Its her breasts that show more of her current gender than the face changing skill. And sometimes i dont get the feeling that she came from the cave, which im glad she is aware of her carelessness but who the hell grabs a living silkworm with their injured arm and think she can do shit? And is her face changing skills so limited that she only ever choose her real face during missions? (Its a convenient romance plot but its annoying esp when a skilled human skin user does it better than her but wishes to get her skill coz it's "perfect". I also dont get why she keeps playing this pull and push, it stopped making sense after the first night) and im not so interested anymore to keep reading after a hundred chapters coz of how incoherent it is becoming.

40, initial half is excellent but the latter half is so lost. Aaron became a distraction and Regina is wasting her time on him (i dislike the romance arc coz it became useless and harming her because Aaron is so lost in pretty face and isn't an actual ally whom Regina can count on). Couldve really confronted Anita more since Regina knows Anita is behind it...like yes "she has to be careful" but most of the latter episodes were simply letting Anita work in the shadows while Regina's so busy wallowing over her dignity. There's a lot I love about the MC but often its like arcs are left hanging or she's so distracted or the plot is lost. (She forgot abt the trigger word in the brainwashing, the sudden pendant--which she researched abt but connected to the pendant is the "keyword" and "witches"--"witches" is connected to what she just burned in the castle, there's also the change in the duke household who are vital to the insurrection, and poorly confronts Anita coz Regina is so distracted, and leaves the Emperor vulnerable around Anita...like I love the father-daugter confrontation and maybe that's an emotional flaw but yeah, she's too distracted being trashily in love.) --even my comment is a mess but a lot of the vital information seems to have been already handed to her but rather than connecting the dots, her scheme to use Aaron distracted her by ALOT.
