Ikumen After
Their feelings are a little too dragged out since they made Asakura very dense. Like, he knew Izumi is gay but kept thinking that their kiss was something casual or platonic? Like, he claimed to be a virgin so he opt to be the first to think that being kissed and having those sexual urges means something, right? Asakura as an actor looks promising tho, just that it was used at a point when both of them are still dragging their misunderstandings. Their kids are cute though. Just that the future is showing a father x father and son x son kind of pairing
Jackass! - Sawatte Ii tte Dare ga Itta yo?
Sexy and sensual! It just makes the main couple’s connection more alluring. It’s nice that this sister-brother relationship is very healthy and supportive. I’m still a little curious about Masa’s background but seeing that they are happy with each other, I’ll let it slide. Also, their friend’s unexpected position in bed is so unexpected but expected at the same time. He’s so masculine HAHAHA. I wish Miyoshi is happier now.
Joou to Shitateya
Darn it! This universe of Minore no Te (and the three more stories line up to it) really highlights that masculine aura. I mean, having read most of Beriko-sensei’s works, their good with highlighting that masculinity. The balanced assertiveness and dominance. That atmosphere of reliability and solid foundation. Even the natural weaknesses that would seem non-masculine or wimpy is emphasize to bring out the most of their character development. Gahhh so much love for this, too!
Katekyo!
A sadist and an airhead that actually meet halfway?? A healthy and positive relationship where the couple pull each other for the better?? A beautifully drawn story where the seme isn’t just a whimsical egoist who leads the uke around but actually wholeheartedly loves his partner?? An uke who intentionally makes the seme happy?? This is it. The ideal relationship where both partners give as much as they receive instead of hurting their partner when they’re insecure.
Love Nest (Minaduki Yuu)
Masato must have been one of the reasons why canines are a feature I tend to notice quickly. His character is relatable and admirable because though he hurt others and tries to redeem himself after, he doesnt deny what he’s done. Even his reason to leave wasn’t just about what he did but how their relationship would affect Asahi. In his defense, even if he tests people’s relationships, he managed to see beyond the two of them and put Kousei’s value to Asahi in consideration.
Dear Signal
Aww. Impractically romantic! Imagine all the misunderstanding cleared up and reformed into new ones like talking about the person you’re in live with to someone else and they think you are in love with that person instead.
Dasadanan
High school fluff! This gears towards a more ‘positive’ high school experience because it features generally friendly characters. It matches with the colorful and cute art. Even backgrounds and side characters were drawn properly instead of being fade out or blacked out. Although, the pacing are often sudden or slow. As much as Seyeon and Kang Chan are cute, Minkyu and Changmin felt more interesting. The mood in Nayeun also changed without being fleshed out. For someone who continually seemed to like Seyeon, Jinwoo’s presence caused an implied changed which felt like it glossed over Nayeun’s emotional change. It’s nice to see side characters being highlighted as they mingle around the leads. I also had to take a double take sometimes because they’re starting to look alike unless there’s a distinct feature to separate them.
