I love how pleasantly amiable and patient souta is. there's also this message being sent that one doesnt need to force having a child if you know you can't handle parenting. you don't have to be married if you know you won't prioritize your marriage. parenting isn't limited to blood relation... and a village does raise a child because then poco gets to learn from everyone. this doesnt show much of the stereotypic and traditional family structure. u could think of poco as an orphan, or even souta as a single parent. it all boils down to one's ability to be responsible and accountable for the relationship you foster with others: as a parent, a friend, a spouse, or even as a doctor.
