Cover Up
The lack of life for the confined person is realistic, im glad that it doesnt romantasize being confined and shows how mentally taxing it is. tattoos are given value and roots the character's personalities. even so, im still curious what Seung jae's original tattoo looks like. im also glad that minwook's pov is explained in the end while giving him a redemption arc to give up before the other person really kills himself.
Blood Bank
The overall concept is amazing! Although, the execution is somewhat disorganize and chaotic, the message surfaces. The art is pleasing and fitting to the concept of apocalypse and supernatural. The conclusion is also promising because it opens a new story instead of capping it off. I'm a little disappointed that Eric's identity stopped at acceptance but i guess everyone's identity in the story showed enough to keep the theme vampire x human going. I was expecting his identity to be more flambouyant, but the author did great at keeping it more of a subtle and invisible trait that is helping the world adjust to a new system of equity. bottomline: this is more of a societal documentary that included key people's love story.
Raising a Bat
the lack of communication occurs 70% of the time and i witnessed agonizing push and pull between the characters. im glad that even when Mingweon was emotionally compromised and ran away, he was anchored by his lover, lover's family, and sister. Most of the characters are problematic but the author does not romanticize them. the author shows just how difficult it is for a relationship to last when there is no communication and trust. and i like that about this. it showed character development, realistic concerns, and growth.
The Perfect Relationship
Hmm... Hyukjoon-ah... Love and hate are extreme emotions. You can't separate those two. Minseo, your mentality is really... Strong.
Kokoro O Korosu Houhou
Fun to write. Scarring to read. Traumatic trigger. I know I shouldn’t have completed it nor did I dare to read it. But I thought I was already fine and this could end in a way that Haruki could break free and live a life away from Hikaru. But why? Why does it have to end like this? I can’t even fully reject nor deny this possibility because I know how much of it could truly happen... how binding it is and how apathetic response lead to more drastic choices like Haruki tempting Hikaru. As much as I’m glad that Hanabasu doesn’t have to deal with a dreadful burden, his actions have pushed Haruki to fall deeper. This is messed up and I’d rather have not fucking read it. But I already did so I’ll just bury it in my memories.
Killing Stalking
mmm. Wow. I finally read it through. 2 years ago, I wouldnt have been able to. But I guess the mind learns to cope and now Ive finished it. although the ending feels weird, like it keeps replaying in my head. a deja vu even if I havent read it before. also, i love it ️ twisted and gives it to you as it is. it is not romantic. it doesnt idealize loving your abuser because both of them are already twisted since the beginning.
Nanohana Boys
I love this so much even if there are a few loose ends. The amount of courage displayed here balanced the tragic realities we hope to confront ourselves. Prejudices and discrimination are difficult to erase but this tries to battle them as individuals. It’s not as idealized or shown through rosy-tinted lenses. Kenji and Yu battled them out in ways that they are able. For a boy who has never felt loved and treasured, Kenji feared to be betrayed by Yu’s kindness and his own yearning to depend on someone else. And Yu, who gains Kenji’s trust slowly without asserting himself like a hero I often see are portrayed on stories like this. Yu looks for allies to help him make his desire to help Kenji a reality. It’s not the sort of impulsive dreamy-eyed willfulness to pull someone away from their problem. He puts into consideration what might happen next and Yu’s patience never ran out. It’s understandable if it was for pity and the sort to make himself feel good, but it went beyond that. Thank you for creating this!
Katakoi Kazoku
Forget incest. The uke will be bullied, abused, and raped just because a jealous brat isn't honest with his feelings.
Body Complex
Glad I gave this a chance at least. It's not as complicated as a comment Ive read pointed out. It's just an ambitious 26 yr old who rely on a professor to go to Germany and be famous. But the prof aint giving his end of the deal and his son comes in unexpectedly into the picture. A love triangle that involves two cowards until a persistent son comes wrecking through their toxic relationship. Loved the growth in the end! (just too short and glossed over some details)
