Tsugi has cheerful personality which balances Kiyou's rough and proud character. Through Tsugi's approach, they become friends from preschool to gradeschool. However, Kiyou's blossoming affections for Tsugi terrified him and he pushes Tsugi away. As if to relieve him, Tsugi transfers and without him Kiyou learns to make friends. However, during his last year of high school, he meets Tsugi again and the suppressed desire he had resurfaced. Unknown to Kiyou, Tsugi came back with a growing possessive desire triggered by their separation. Thus, Tsugi's forcefulness triggers both fear and desire which confuses and make Kiyou desperately reject Tsugi.
