Shougo has an eloquence to a new gen Japanese which he is often scolded for at work. Nonetheless, his speech is well understood by a foreigner he found lying at the gate of where he lives. Not only that, they form a friendly relationship since Shougo offers his home for the scammed foreign painter. Levi, a foreigner in holiday visa, is looking for his deceased grandpa's ex-lover who is a painter in Japan. While together, Shougo is troubled by his growing feelings for the straightforward Levi who didn't even care that Shougo might have an inclination for men, being that Levi's grandfather also had a male lover and it wasnt weird. Interestingly, Shougo childhood hints that his mother accepts his sexuality and simply tells him that he couldn't marry a boy "YET". Regardless, Shougo have always felt that being gay was weird and he didn't want his grandparents to be disappointed. Besides, his love for his grandparents made it easier for him to ask Levi to stay with him while Levi seeks of his dead grabdpa's ex lover.
