Kami has a knack for cooking but has no one to share his meals, as his co workers harrass him for being gay. Until one night, a food show ambushed his home and the host gobbled his food heartily. Then Waki unexpectedly became a part of Kami's lunch break since their workplace are close. Due to insecurities caused by past and present judgements against Kami's sexuality, he resisted the idea of ever having a relationship with Waki—even when Waki confesses his love for Kami. Still, Waki is persistent to show Kami just how much he loves him. (I dislike what he did to show that in the end though, but all's well that ends well I guess—but don't even think of using public announcements to corner someone you love like that. It leaves a bitter aftertaste to your intentions.) Plus one star for volume 2

MC becomes OP because of his cooking skills, garnering powerful beasts to hunt every meat that they'd want him to cook... even the gods desire the food he is able to procure.

some food hunting is unsettling esp when dealing with anthromorphs and how eerie the MC is in the game for ingredients. I also understand than contrary to Bulimia Nervosa, this is more of Binge-eating/Gluttony with physical side effects type of illness. In Fantasy terms, a curse. So it leans on fantasy more than medicine/science.

it's so wholesome! even if it shows just a chapter, like an introductory subarc for the MC—it doesnt make you feel empty coz it fulfills the introduction, the prequel of whatever adventure or drama that would unfold after finding her people.

besides the subpar ending (that had to be supplemented by text from the webnovel of how it would have ended), the story in general is wholesome. it really had an impactful beginning as the sisters were complementary to each other. However, when the internal conflict of staying or leaving this other world was being unraveled, it had fleeting and ungrounded feeling. Esp when it began to confront the romantic possibilities between Jade and Akane. "open ended" doesnt even cut it because the story fell flat just when a sort of climax is achieved between the two. there's a need for more chapters, or maybe even a volume to fully execute the story and at least match its strong beginning. (i'm not really one to appreciate being supplemented by the original text because it's supposed to be a manga adaptation... i don't like it when an adaptation is incomplete, where i'm seemingly forced to read the novel instead if I want to get the story.)

erased a long rant that was fuelled by frustration ch29—it has a nice build up (often absurd but it's a diff world anyway). Risa reminds me of myself in terms of giving advice yet being unable to keep it. I'm disappointed that her friends and family are passive towards her just when she needed major help. (i get that they want to support her choices, but most of the time it was their coaxing and carelessness that got her into trouble anyway)

@100 Feeds the eyes and soul. The art is cute and pretty. The foods are enticingly drawn. And the dialogues were so good that i feel like im being blessed, too. I especially love Jung Dong's dialogue at the latter end of the 100 chapters about kindness and change. Jung doesn't let the other person's cruelty slide but he doesn't invalidate his "reasons" as well. Saying that kindness is not alexpecting something in return sounds extremely masochistic but the story had built on the idea of karma that those lines have more substance than how i encounter that line in other stories. Anyway, it's the subtext of those dialogues and the natural change within that other character are beautiful and i hope more people gets to read this

My heart is so full. I could never be loyal to just one food tho. But maybe it's the seven day bridge that keeps the excitement.
