I fucking love Dairin. Shes the most modern and rational fe lb ale lead I've ever seen in one of these romance manwhas. Shes funny, practical, things reasonably far ahead, is impacted by her childhood trauma in a way that makes conscious sense, and she's self aware. Even her doubts and misconceptions make perfect sense from her perspective. Her loyalty to a family and priesthood she despises fit so well with her hyperindepenance and desire to feel like she belongs to a community, she craves purpose which in itself is so human. I adore Ceres too, hes such a protective soft puppy. I'm going to be so sad when they reveal his past of being kidnapped long lost royalty brainwashed into slavery and apparently were gonna lose his tired and broody features TT. Still love them lots, can't wait for the slow burn to the wedding.
