A wonderful look into the life of a girl whose parents are divorced, and into the hearts and minds of those around her. The father is actually gay and has a lover he lives with now, and the mother remarried. The boyfriend is pudgy (like dad and the dad's lover). She has something of a fat fetish. But what's dazzling here is the way the mangaka shows us the inner lives and how people cope with their flaws and issues and disappointments and loves. It's really a wonderful study of people, especially the older ones (the mc's mother and her boyfriend's mother's backstories are really interesting.) But you get into the lives, worries, frustrations, and joys of the young characters. People here are not perfect heroes. They can be petty. But they self-reflect. And they also love.
