If You Hate Me So
Honestly I got invested because the art style was pretty well drawn and the characters' features were really particularly detailed even though the story was full on toxic and has so many rapey vibes that I almost want to drop it. Like the main seme was so bad he could almost kill the uke but all's well that ends well, I guess. To my surprise, the main plot just ended in 20 chapters so I thought what more could there be? And why the side stories are more interesting than the original plot though? It's so random and chaotic I love it. But why is it that the art style just gradually changes? Like almost all the characters got an image revamp and they look like the typical manhwa drawing. The art style change goes from a 10 to 1 real quick, as well as how the story became too mushy and weird yet funny. Anyway, I somehow enjoyed it even though I thought it could not redeem itself from the beginning but glad it ended in a happier note for all the characters.
Asagao wa Yoru kara Saku
Bittersweet and sad but happy. What a beautiful story about love and friendship. You really never know what's in front of you till it's gone so you better treasure each and every moment of everyday. Sometimes in life we take the littlest things for granted thinking they don't make a sum of its parts, and how cherishing everyone around you makes a difference to others. I hope even I can learn about taking the time to smell the flowers in the morning, going on a stroll and appreciating the beauty this world has to offer because there certainly is a lot. And you might meet people along the way who could teach you about life - having fun, living in a carefree manner, making mistakes and learning from it, and having the grandest experience. I guess the message was also to always acknowledge your loved ones every time because you never know when the time comes that you couldn't. I love stories like these that you could really reflect on and think thoroughly about and makes you embrace life however sad and painful it may be sometimes, but there are happy days too.
Senya Ichiya - Shitone no Himegoto
It Can't Be Mutual Love!!
Jackass! - Sawatte Ii tte Dare ga Itta yo?
Even thought the stories felt heavier, it somehow comes out as something fun and refreshing. I liked all these developed storylines from two friends realizing they had feelings for each other (one with a pantyhose fetish - so hot), and the age gap relationship of the sensei and student. They are too cute! I most especially liked the the guy who got together with the school doctor because he was seriously adorable with his facial expressions and strong personality. I was also giddy when I learned that the drama cd for this manga was voiced by some of my favorite seiyuus, and of course it has to be Eguchi-kun and Nishimaya-kun being a couple in this story too! <3 <3 <3 and also Yuuma Uchida was also cool. I hope I could listen to the drama cd of this story soon and I bet it will be so hot and fun!
Kekkon Suru Kamoshirenai Otoko
My heart welled up for these two. I wish them both so much happiness because they totally deserved it! It was such a nice story about wanting to find the right person to be with and settling down. I can relate so much on how Ryo wants to find a partner, any partner, so long as he's good and sincere, and Shun's backstory was pretty sad. But I am glad they found each other and how they are a perfect match. I wish it could've been longer because their vibe was just so chill that I could even read even the mundane days they have. We just long for happiness and contentment in our lives and we hope to share it with the one we love.
Borderline (FUJITANI Youko)
I just get good vibes from this author's works. Everything is so chill yet meaningful. This one has multiple stories with characters relating to each other and each story was cute, sweet, and somehow has the air of maturity to it. I really wish it was longer especially the 2nd couple and the sensei x student couple.
Rutta To Kodama
Definitely one of the best yaoi slice of life stories I've read. What started out as two boys living the school life with fun and excitement with a lot of love fast forward to them thinking about their future and what they want to do as adults. It did a pretty good job at making this story realistic and relatable especially when Kodama fell in love and felt jealousy for the first time but managed to think rationally of his feelings, and Takao becoming a better man and proving himself worthy for Kodama was a really nice touch. I didn't expect to be hit right in the feels for this one, I just thought it's another cutesy bl but it was really something deeper and more meaningful. I'm so happy that they were able to touch on some aspects of reality that shows life goes through hardships and making decisions is hard but you just gotta do what you are passionate about. I really liked this story, surely on of my favorites of all time. I could only hope there would be more of this adorable, sweet, and lovely couple. <3
