Neji

This was one of kaori yuki's more traditional sci-fi works. the art takes inspiration from middle eastern landscapes and has a mad max aesthetic. The story is way too dense for such a short story, and suffers from the same overload of information that angel sanctuary did. However, if you can get past the overcomplicated plot and the busy artwork style it is still a good read

Angel Sanctuary

Complete | Yuki | 1995 released

Most kaori yuki fans consider Angel Sanctuary to be her best work. Her art style is best represented by her work on this manga. the plot is over-complicated and most of it is not revealed until many volumes into the manga. However, I believe this manga should be approached like a work of art. Don't read it for the story, take in the design of the chapters and the details of the characters. If I had to describe the aesthetic of these books I would call it: supernatural s&m.

Ludwig Revolution

Complete | yuki kaori | 2004 released

A story about a prince who moves through various fairy tales with his manservant, in search of a bride. Of course, Kaori Yuki loves turning fairy tales on their head. The stories are twisted and dark, and most of the girls end up worse off then when they started. Ludwig's style is david bowie glam rock meets fairy tale goth. He wants to have a good time and only cares about looking fabulous. This story is so messed up but a lot of fun to read and re-read!
