Why couldn't they just be childhood friends why they have to be cousins

I feel like there is a translation issue because there is no way they are 15years apart in terms of age. I feel like this is not right why couldn't the author make it middle schooler and high schooler like that would atleast be better then elementary student. Age is just a number and jail is just a room.

I like how there was a uke version and a seme version on how it would play out. That was really funny.
