way cuter than i was expecting

this was really well done. I have no complaints about any of the characters. I think the story was relatively entertaining. I think if it was any longer, it would not have been as good. There were times when I was a bit bored but it’s OK in the end. I liked how everything played out. I am curious what the author wanted to include, but didn’t I really wish she had shared that. did Matthew only see the world in green? i’m still confused why it’s under the green light. I think it’s under the green light because Matthew sees the world only in green and also because the lights in his studio are green. But I’m not really entirely sure. I thought I would know for definite reasons by the end of this. I believe it’s implied that he can only see the world in green. I just wish that was a bit more clear.

so i read this story already knowing that the male lead, cesar, was a walking black flag. he was described as a really bad romantic partner—and i agree. i don’t think cesar is a good person, let alone a good romantic partner, but i like that the main character is able to recognize that cesar is the way he is because of his upbringing and still empathizes with him. it also makes sense that the main character would think that way, considering his mother had a similar level of rationality when it came to his own existence—since she literally fell in love with a mafia leader too. honestly, i had a lot of giggles. i laughed a bunch while reading, and the art was really nice and consistent. the storyline wasn’t bad either. the ending of the main story totally threw me through a loop—i didn’t even realize it was the end. i was like, what the fuck? i’m only halfway through. but the side story spinoff was really good. my only concern is… what the fuck is gonna happen with the hits on both of their backs? are they just gonna, like, wait it out until the hit disappears or something? i’m very confused—but knowing them, they’ll probably find a way to make it work. ultimately, lee-won and cesar are very cute, even if their relationship is kind of toxic.
