Omega Complex

as this came to a close, i literally caught myself saying out loud, “oh, this is lovely”—because lovely is the perfect word to describe this manhwa. the art is stunning, the characters are well-crafted, and the story is simple without being boring. it’s such a sweet read, and i was smiling the entire time. i really enjoyed the conflict and the angst, but also appreciated that it stayed true to being a straightforward omegaverse story. i just wish we got to see the kid and what they looked like! but aside from that, it was absolutely adorable. solid 10 out of 10.

liked it overall. i just wish the author didn’t have a weird breeding kink because there were moments where i’d be looking at a panel thinking, damn, i definitely wouldn’t have gone with that artistic choice. but aside from that, the story was nice. i was a little confused though—like, the two of them fell in love, which was cute, but the political plot was kind of all over the place. i kept skipping through it and only realized at the very end that the two guys were supposed to be allies. apparently one thought the other betrayed him, but it was really just poor communication. not totally sure how that unfolded, but hey… men will be men, i guess. honestly, the overly complex political and economic stuff didn’t need to be there. i doubt most people reading this genre are following that part anyway—it just felt unnecessarily heavy. still, i did enjoy it for what it was. the art was decent, although the bottom basically morphed into a woman by the later chapters?? not sure what happened there. i’m guessing it was because of the pregnancy, and the author made him look more feminine, but that might just be me being generous. overall, it was fine. good even. i’d give it a 4 out of 5. maybe a 3 if i were being picky, but it wasn’t horrible. just… fine. and sometimes, fine is enough.
