whaT the FUCK. why is this just three chapters!??!?! what the fuck happened after!!!!

i see a lot of mixed (mostly negative) reviews of this -- i think while it does have a lot of problematic themes, they're generally addressed within the manga (or the novel) as problematic (like makoto lusting after his son) -- i don't think miura necessarily "forced" jun to kiss her, like with freddie and mary, jun is said to be in love with her but not sexually attracted to her (which makes him a biromantic homosexual) and that's a real and valid thing -- these among other things are touched upon, but i imagine are more clarified in the novel to make them more understandable and maybe sensitive -- the author himself said that he didn't write this to reflect society/make social commentary, but to reflect people and i think if that was it's purpose, it was fairly successful -- i don't hate it or love it, which is better than i was expecting with all of these themes so i think it surprised me in that way at least

lesmis will forever be relevant--s the premise states--and will forever be powerful. i love the imagery and the depth the art conveys, totally makes up for the lack of verbosity the novel has.

1. something like a fairy tale about a boy and a mysterious monster in the woods with layers of history the boy ends up uncovering between the two 2. if beauty and the beast were the same person -- how being too beautiful can make someone feel like less of a person (kinda reminds me of how people treat cha eunwoo and i got sad :c ) 3. sci-fi BL of The Martian (the potatoessss) with a twist all the stories were really well executed and cohesive one shots -- would love seeing a movie of each

NO ROMANCE HERE GUYS. okay? okay. -- just a wholesome relationship between kindred spirits -- the tragedy tag lk gave me anxiety the whole time cus i was waiting for the other shoe to drop, i'm really proud of each of the characters tho and their respective character development -- a good read that could def be made into a movie/short anime series

3.5/5 -- a heartwarming story about star-crossed love, brother lan would've def been a great general of the heavens or a magistrate or sumn if he were born fortunate :// i loved how everyone was a little in love with him
