My favourite!! I need to reread this, pLUS i HAVEN'T FINISHED IT SO i NEED TO READ THIS FROM START! Am gonna start reading this from today, I have almost all the volumes at home except for the first volume! - 11/7-23. I finished reading this manga 2 months ago actually, in july 2023. This manga is about a girl whose family has a misfortune of only bearing one female child each generation and the misfortune is that these females always end up falling for the wrong guys. The main female lead, Nanami's, dad is in debt and flees leaving his daughter alone and homeless, because the bank comes to evict them from their appartment. When she is sitting in a park contemplating on what to do next, she encounters a man who is afraid of dogs, whom she helps out. This man hears about her story and tells her that she can live in his house if she'd like. He gives her a kiss on her forehead and a map that takes her to her house. She follows the map and finds a shrine up in the mountains. As soon as she steps a foot inside the shrine she is met by an angry fox yokai, named Tomoe. Tomoe has been waiting for Mikage, the god of Marriage, to come back home, since he left 20 years ago, and when he senses Mikage he goes to meet him angrily, however instead of Mikage he finds a human girl. Turns out that when Mikage kissed Nanami on the forehead, he had transferred his power on to her. When Tomoe finds out that Mikage has given over his powers to Nanami and hears Nanami disrespect the shrine, he gets offended and leaves her to go into the yokai dimension, since he has no responsibilities now that the masters have changed. Nanami who also gets offended by Tomoe takes on the role as the master of the shrine and tries to take care of the run down shrine. However she finds it really hard and tries to ask Tomoe for help, but he acts all high and mighty so she refuses to ask for help. She then almost gets caught by a mountain witch, and when she tries to escape Tomoe comes to see how she is doing, while she is clinging on to a tree. He tells her that he will help her if she begs him for it, instead she drags him with her from the tree and ends up kissing him as a form of familiar contract and then commands him to help her. He then has no other option but to obey him. From then on their love story begins. Nanami eventually falls in love with Tomoe, who believes that there cannot be a relationship between a human and a yokai. But he often gets jealous when someone tries to do anything to her, or tries to get close to her. Stuff happens and as a spoiler, we get to know that Tomoe was already in love with Nanami, since 500 years back. Tomoe has forgotten the reason he became a familiar, which is that he had made a deal with a god on becoming a human and live his life with a human girl he fell in love with at the time. But the deal doesn't get complete so Tomoe doesn't turn into a human, the human girl dies as well, so he is left to wander around the world clueless as what he needs to do, while dying slowly. That's when he meets Mikage who offers to help him and turn him into his familiar. Tomoe accepts and mikage makes him forget. So when Tomoe starts falling for Nanami, all his past memories come back and his curse comes back with it. He has little time to live and that's when Nanami finds a way to go back in time to see how to cure and save Tomoe. We then find out that the human girl Tomoe loved in the past actually hated Yokai and would never rescue Tomoe who was in a dire situation. Instead Nanami goes and saves him and takes care of him. But she does this all in secret so that he won't see how she looks like nor her name. When asked for her name he only gets to know the human girl, that Nanami and the injured Tomoe is staying at. Tomoe falls in love with Nanami and when he asks her to stay by his side and become his wife, she promises him that in the near future that will all come true. She then dissapears again, and he goes and finds the human girl, that has the name that Nanami gave him and kind of looks like her, he takes care of her, even until she dies. Back in the future Nanami gets to learn that the human girl who helped her out, and whom she mentions to Tomoe is actually one of her ancestors and that's why they look so much alike. Tomoe also saves that human girls life at one point in time and that's why Nanami eventually gets born in the future. Nanami eventually saves Tomoe, and they eventually live together forever and ever, Tomoe as a human :).

Just started reading this webtoon, and I have to say that I am furious with Layla's fiancee, he is a piece of trash. I'm currently on ch 37, but her husband is hella obsessed with Sisele, the princess from the doomed kingdom who pretends to be pregnant. Basically Layla is a girl who got engaged to Philen William from a young age, the duke and duchess of William took her in and brought her up. However the duke and the duchess die during a storm on their way home on a carriage, both Philen and Layla become depressed. Philen locks himself up on the training grounds, Layla takes up the duties and responsibilities instead of Philen. However a war starts with a kingdom nearby (a little unsure about this but there's a war), and Philen leaves for war and after 6 years he comes back....with a woman on his lap, who appears to be pregnant. The pregnant woman is named Sisily and is the princess of the kingdom that fell during the war. Philen tells Layla that he will kick Sisily out after she gives birth, but never leaves her side and does a lot of favors for her. Like buying her cake, clothes and jewellery. Layla gets to know the emperor, who offers her a job as his assistant after she aces the test that he arranges. Now she has also told Philen that she wants to break the engagement and left his side, however Philen believes that she'll come back. Philen is really bad at work and gets jealous when people in his territory praises Layla's work and authority. 4/8-2024
