This manga receives one star because I didn't like it, and two to three stars if I were to assess things objectively. This story is after all full of symbols and represents a certain vision enacted by fictional characters on paper. This is the "tale" of a futuristic society ruled by "white" women who overpower "white" men and enslave men and women of other races. Yapoo are men slaves from the so-called "yellow" race. This story revolves hence around racial prejudice and stereotypes. It also portrays the cruel betrayal of the loved ones: Clara, the German woman, abandons Ren, who used to be her fiancé, to his sordid fate shaped by her own decision as she, as a goddess, baptizes him in urine! Love, charity and compassion are hence lost in favor of a present where women subdue men, treat them as "human toilets" and transform them into tools destined to satisfy all their desires and sexual needs. I think that what is shown in this manga doesn't depict S&M practices because the men didn't consent to it. What we see in this story is the total annihilation of men epitomized by the emasculation of Ren. This is a symbolic element in the story: it represents the triumph of women who confiscate men's genitals and turn them into a weapon (a whip) against them, and a tool for boosting their own ego. This is yet again one of those controversial stories which show how love, for some people, become twisted in the mirror of their sexual impulses and twisted fantasies.
