For Your Love
Okay this manhwa was PAINFULLY slow in the beginning, but by the time it really began to pick up its pace I was already in love with characters. They are all just so expressive, I can’t help but laugh at every other panel as the characters react to a multitude of different situations. I love this manhwa already and I can’t wait for more!
Unripened Expression
Overall I really enjoyed the stories and characters. The only thing that is keeping this manga from being a five star is the end. I’m not going to spoil who the MC ends up with, all I’m going to say is that is was really unsatisfying.
Heesu in Class 2
I really loved the comedy of this manhwa. It never failed to put a smile on my face or even laugh out loud. It knew when to be serious and when to be comedic and I loved it for that. The main couple was also very interesting and I loved watching their relationship develop. It was a wonderful journey!
Hush (Today)
This story was really sweet and simple. I really enjoyed how it started, but after the midpoint it became like every other BL manhwa. I heard there’s a sequel to this story, so maybe it improves. Can’t wait to see it!
Dasadanan
This was an alright BL. The story was really simple with not a lot of things special about it. I liked how this did include a lesbian couple which was really different from other BLs, but that’s the most interesting aspect about it. It was also a bit too short and we didn’t even get to see a kissing scene, which really annoyed me. Overall, this BL was nothing out of the ordinary.
Re-season
This was good for a short BL, but it was really nothing special or different. On top of being short, the ending is also open-ended which I absolutely hate.
Tied Up In Twins
This BL portrayed a healthy relationship excellently while still having conflict that didn’t stem from one of the main characters being dumb. Honestly that’s what really made me enjoy this BL as much as I did. The couple was just really adorable and they fit each other perfectly. They each helped the other heal their wounds and they grew together as people. I did dislike the other twin however, and I really didn’t see why the uke and the mother had to apologize to him for his homophobia. That’s really my only nitpick with the BL, I loved everything else about it!
Incidentally Living Together
This BL turned out WAYYYYY difference than I first thought. At first I thought this would be a very weird BL to read, but as I read more and more I realized that this was a much deeper story. Both main characters had deep traumatic pasts that are realistically handled, and I loved watching them slowly develop and help mend each other. Even if the wounds are never completely healed, they help each other through it. I just loved that about this story!
A Guy Like You
This started off really strong with a lot of potential, but in the end I really didn’t feel anything at all. The villain got off WAY too easily and the main characters were really annoying all the way up until the very end. The plot and supernatural element is this BLs strongest point. I’m super invested with the Fate and Envy stones, and I loved their inclusion. I wish we had a few more BLs with this kind of magical/superpower elements within them that are also used in fights. I wish the author would’ve leaned into this element instead of that awful rape plot. Ugh, this story had too much sexual assault for my taste, and it isn’t even handled decently. The main character is even THREATENED to be raped by his love interest and that whole thing is brushed away. That’s really the main thing keeping me from loving the BL, because the main love interest was just toxic and the main character is just dumb.
