ending was shit but glad bro got away

THIS WAS NOT THE STORY TO READ AT ONE IN THE MORNING that actually scared the fuck out of me had to tuck my blanket under my feet no creepy shit's gonna catch me lacking

the ending i reread this before I got the physical copy still think its one of junji ito's best mangas

i just realized there was an english ver that was fucked up tbh

it was just trying to keep her out of danger :(( even after she tried to run away it protected her i genuinely thought it died and i cried love the ending tho

was tryna finish this before the anime came out i never wanna see a spiral again tbh I dont think shes stupid it is unsettling how fast she got over the shit happening or was just almost completely unfazed by the shit happening i wouldve left that town so fuckin fast

im confused on why he felt the need to help her like anyone wouldve been out of there the second the painting tried talking to him bro was trippin fr i do think the story was really predictable as i read it especially the end but it was a good read

i was lowkey confused a lot of the time n the religious shit made me uncomfortable but it was an okay read tho really fuckin creepy

i was so invested but the story was so weirdly paced and WTF WAS THAT END??? bro strangled her then they get together??? actually got a headache cus i already knew where the last ch was going but i really didnt want it to happen it was so odd ?? n i really dont like how much he changed there was no consistency to his character the concept was sick but that bullshit ass ending was just not it
