Post WW2, Japan is still facing military occupation. Sei, trying to love day to day with his trauma meets Jim, a young American soldier who fell in love at first sight. The story is beautifully told and interweaves trauma, guilt, family dynamics, and finally learning to move forward in a world where same sex relationships are still illegal.
