The pace is slower and awkward as two high school students get to know each other, fall for each other, and grow their feelings. Their awkwardness and angst is combined with a small sense of melancholy as the story progresses forward. I love watching their relationship grow as they too grow older. Definitely one of my favorites and an incredibly written story.
This Ending

Very real heart ache after loving and growing up together. The story may have been short but the impact will be long. My chest feels heavy and hurts, but I will believe in a happy ending for them.
